Please post your photos on this thread as you get it finished. I'm really liking all the variety we're getting in this sew-along.

Hi,
This one looks easy. I went to the Paducah quilt show on a bus trip and finished my April block just before I left. We had a great time, saw great quilts, ate too much, shopped, and was exhausted when I got back home and forgot to post my April block. Oh well... Will put this higher on my agenda this month. Will post both blocks when I finish this one.
All right!!!!! Our May Funky Chickens are starting to show themselves.
Ladies, remember, even if you missed posting your photo for the month, you can still post it, just be sure to identify the month. To be eligible for the final, year-end drawing, you must have posted photos of all 12 blocks.
Let's see more of those May beauties, ladies.

Oh Kathy, can I come and help you with the baby clothes? My DIL doesn't want me to sew for my grandson, she only likes store bought stuff

How sad, wish I'd of had a MIL like you. Some DIL are hard to understand,I have one that would be just like yours, she gave me back an afghan I crocheted, said it didn't go with her style. I LOVE those chickens but I'd of had to do the feet different, don't care for them??

Last month, there were 14 blocks posted in time for the drawing. This month, so far, we have only 6. And the May deadline is fast approaching. Hope the rest of you ladies get your blocks done and posted in time.

I have had my chicken traced since the first day but just didn't find the time to iron on the fabric and make my chick come alive. I have all of the backgrounds finished so it won't take me too long to get mine ready to post. I promise.

Mom and I hope to get may and June done tomorrow. We are trying to get yard done and on weekends go to the house they moved from four years ago and clean it out. They lived at that house for 41 years so lots stuff still there. With dad's health and then his passing mom just couldn't work on it. Need to get it sold so work work work . Nice pictures this month, great job ladies.
FloridaFarm...I recognize "Charlevoix" fabric when I see it in the background....where you thinking of Michigan where it originated?
Love all the Chicks ladies....

May, I'm using scraps for my chickens, so I don't even have any idea which piece you're referring to!!! Do you mean the background chicken wire fabric? That was bought for this project but I didn't pay any attention to the designer or manufacturer.
Oh FFG I think TcMay is talking about your background quilt fabric behind chicken block. Some we see in our area for our Cherry area up in northern Michigan. This message has been edited. Last edited by: lionpride,
