Getting closer..... It took me a few days to clean off the table from all of the retreat stuff, and another project that someone dumped on me.

It's all good. I think I'll go quilt on it for awhile.

I wish I was making a "I'm DONE!" post but instead I am making a "WHAT have I done???" post. I took it off my HQ16, folded it in half (I guess I was expecting it to be square? Maybe?) and trimmed off the backing and batting and a good 3" off the front of the quilt at an angle about 1/3 of the way down...So I took apart the border, found my left over pieces and will spend tomorrow re sewing a border...UGH.

Oh no, GoneSewin! Hope you can make those scissors behave from now on. I have some leftovers of the STT fabrics if yours are too mutilated to use. If you need them and Jayardi ok's it, I'll get them mailed quickly.

Any luck, Aliquilt? Mine got misplaced last year and I didn't even move. They were well hidden, but I eventually found them--waaaay after the deadline!

Headed to sew some more now Smile.

• • • Lori, put the scissors down and back away from the quilt. Finish the sigh-ups and clear your head. If you need some replacement fabrics, please let me or Seeing Stars know. I hope your quilt is salvageable.

Seeing Stars, no objections at all. Thanks for stepping up with the offer.

I was working on the entries early this morning, but I lost consciousness midway. Will have the numbers for you soon. Then I can get back to my quilt. Sure glad we had the extension, otherwise mine wouldn't have been done to my liking.

I'm taking a break from the quilt so I am on the puter...

Thanks for the offers but I do have enough pieces left to re do my big oops. The 2nd one was a little oops - big in frustration tho - and I think I have it fixed. I can just "quilt it out", right? I learned some tricks in Branson in JRD's fmq class Wink

• • • It's taken me all day, but I think I am caught up. Please check the list. If you have sent your entry and you are not listed, please let me know immediately. Thank you!

Nineteen Entries counted and at least eleven more confirmed to be done. That leaves another eleven unknown. Please check in. With the extension, you have two weeks to finish, can you get it done?

So what will you work on until the STT Show? I'm quilting a Halloween top and piecing a simple top in various shades of aqua and cream.

I'll be heading out of town for the AQS Show in Des Moines in a few hours. Looking forward to seeing the Tent Makers of Cairo and the Japanese exhibits. I'll be spending the night with Iowalisa and EJ180. Should be a fun weekend.

I'll be back on Sunday. Hope this peek will hold you over until then.

I am finishing mine up today. I have a quilt on the frame that should be finished some time today and as soon as I take it off the frame this one will go on. It should not take long to quilt it so I could possibly be done by Monday or Tuesday at the latest.

I got up at 6 am and went out to my sewing studio. By church time I had my quilt in and out of the frame. This afternoon in between winterizing the deck and covering up the pool I have the binding on it.

No school tomorrow so while all the kids play, I will sew the binding down. \

This is the third year for me to do this project. When I sign up I always find a project I want to do with my squares. I never get a "rountuit" and the deadline approaches!!!
Yikes, I dont have time to follow my plan so I run around like a chicken on sunday and then at the last minute I sit down and start putting something together.

I have learned something from this. I work better under pressure!!!!! LOL..

Just a reminder, I only need one photo (full file size) of the whole quilt and the dimensions. Oh, and preferably not blurry. Wink

I should be able to post a peek a day now. Maybe even two, so get those peeks in.

I have been busy packing away the polaris, lights, cholrinators and all the stuff that goes with the pool. No more mowing and no more vacuuming for the next 5 or 6 months.

My pics were sent a little while ago. I finished the binding this afternoon.

I kept my DGS today and he has been sick for a few days. He was feeling better today so he and I slept all day and caught up some on the sleep we have been missing.

Glad to have this behind me so I can get on to the next UFO. Trying to do the ones that have been on my "To Do" list the longest.
