It's been two months now and I am still waiting to begin. My squares are sorted, but that's all. I have two more smaller challenges to complete, THEN I can start on this one. Luckily I have my design, just need to determine color placement.

I have received quite a few peeks, but we still need more if you would like to see a new one more often. Please be sure to send me a photo before you start quilting.

I've decided to share our peeks here in the main thread. Maybe we'll be able to entice a few newbies for next year.

These days, many of you have been sending peeks of just your squares. Sorry, but I won't be able to share all of them. Usually, I'll post the first UNIQUE one, after that, I need to see progress. Of course, we always have someone who sends in a photo of their schnibbles just to be funny.

Pour a little sauce on that and it'll look good enough to eat!

I guess I should look at my squares again — as usual, the peeks seem to show fabrics that I know I don't have in my baggie, LOL.

Hi ladies sorry I've had a lot going on these days. I've finished our raffle quilt finally. I sent it out to be quilted last night. I haven't touched my challenge in weeks it feels like. I will get to it tonight I am hoping. I show off what I have done and I've even had offers to put in a shop when it's done. So I guess it's as nice as I think it is. Talk to you later be safe and sew on and sew on.

Love the "peeks", have my plan drawn out but haven't cut any fabric yet. Have to say I'm a little nervous about cutting into the squares...one miss cut and eeekkk!!!! Tell me this is just newbie jitters and I'll get over it once I start cutting.

Yea for peeks! Mine are still squares sitting in a pile, but I'm hoping to get started on it soon. Kids are out of school and we have returned from a family trip, so now to get caught up and let the summer fun begin!

Yes, that first cut is hard, but just go with the flow! My blocks are all sewn and just need to lay out the pattern to my liking.

• • • Quilting already? Mine are still in the same position as they were two months ago. I am quilting, but it's a different challenge. Soon, I know I sound like a broken record. I almost took on another challenge today which would have been due by the 25th. Eek Luckily, they were all full up by the time I found it.

Jody, I'm afraid I still have that issue every year. Especially when my pattern isn't traditional. If my numbers aren't completely calculated, I get very nervous with those first cuts. Good luck

• • • Time for a new peek...our first block.

Sometimes, when my friend and I make quilts or see some in a shop somewhere, we say "Oh, I have that fabric, I have that fabric, "..etc......We share our stashes and have favorites that show up in bits and pieces in many quilts.

In the peeks, we all can say "I have that one, I have that one, I have all of those!".....This is fun.

• • • I plan to start TOMORROW! Need to clear off my design wall. Eek I've had so many things going on at the same time there is no room for this challenge on it right now. I should take a photo before I take it all down. You'll just have to wait until October to see it. Razz

I have been getting some wonderful peeks lately, but I still need more! We have a few very ambitious challengers this year.

Wow! You have been sneaking peeks in here while I wasn't looking. Great progress by some of our challengers. Guess no one wants to see my pile of squares sitting in their safe place so that they don't get lost. With any luck at all, I'll be starting on mine soon.

...wow great peeks already - and just a reminder to all of you IN the challenge - we out here NOT in the challenge are watching and enjoying the show -from beginning to voting - and then seeing who did what.
I'm looking at some of those pieces thinking 'I don'tthink so!"

• • • For two days I've been sorting and rearranging my squares to get just the right fabric placement. There are a couple of squares that just don't want to play nice. One, in particular, has me stumped. And then I finally remembered I can EXCHANGE one. Whoo HOOOOO!

I have always tried to use every single square that has been sent in, but this year I just can't do it. Now don't forget, if you do exchange one you can turn it in to me next year for an extra pair of BONUS SQUARES.

Oh, and don't forget to go vote for the Project Quilting Challenge hosted by our very own Gonesewin. All the challengers are also in this challenge (it might help you when it comes time for the Quilt Maker Contest). How cool is that? So go check it out.

I have a puppy who likes to "help" me w/ my quilting...I used to be able to lay my stuff on the kitchen floor but since we got her there's just NO WAY that jumble is what mine would look like - too frustrating to deal with.

It's hard to comment on the ones I really like w/o giving clues to "some people" as to whether it may or may not be mine. But I really like some of the peeks shown so far Smile
