Oh, it looks like you picked some good classes. I like all the projects you did. I would have picked those classes if I had gone. I would also have picked Jayardi's FM quilting class.
TFS with us!

Sherry, I think you are being an overachiever by finishing your projects so fast!!! Or maybe I just picked the wrong classes. I did take Jayardi's free motion quilting and covered a fat qtr. with quilting, I got a start on learning to shuttle tat, and did part of a paper piecing project. The classes were fun, I wish I could have done more of them.

Great job, Sherry! You were a great student and it was great to be in class with you Smile. I haven't sewn any on my placemat yet, but will get to it after finishing my STT Challenge project. Wish that I could have been in CBQ's class--that is AMAZING. Wish that I would have at least chatted with her about it! So many fun things to pack into the fixed amount of time.

Keep the pics coming!

The only project completed in class was the Prairie Points.

We were given very detailed instructions. Once the pieces were positioned and cut out, the sewing together went pretty fast but still ran out of class time. Positioning those templates on the fabric to get the "same" cut is not always easy! My red table topper fabric was not the exact same distance between the sections across the width of the fabric. So the 4 pieces I cut near the selvage were just a bit different from the 4 pieces cut higher up the repeat... Oh well...you know...it really doesn't show that much in the photo...so NEVER MIND! Big Grin

Wow, I happened to take the same three classes, with the posted pictures. They were great, but will be awhile til I get them completed. Nice that you have good examples to see. Hard to decide which classes to take as they all sounded good. Thanks to the teachers, with prep, examples etc.

Confession time...
See how the faux binding seems to flow from the red stripe that separates the points from the body of the table topper?

PURE ACCIDENT! Big Grin

THAT is PRETTY!

This was the problem. We picked our choices in order, of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. But we 5 or 6 classes going on at the same time so, unfortunately, missed some great classes. Shame we all don't have clones!! Wink

I can't wait to finish my hand quilting block that Bluesnail was helping me with. I did do some more work on it, but I've got too much to do tonight to work on anything from retreat tonight. DH says he needs some laundry done. So I'm just waiting for the wash to finish then it goes in the dryer. I have to unpack my machine and think I'll be showing Sue how to make the book marks tomorrow, they were easy (directions were hard) the way WQ4C showed us. They look so complicated, but were easy to make. Just need to sew the sides and center down. Then I'll post a picture. I could show you my tumbling block hand pieced block, but now I can't find the camera. The retreat was simply great!!!

I also took Toryam's Mola class and have to think on my layers as to what I want to do next. It will take me a little while to figure out the rest. I will post pictures as soon as I do. Toryam posted these before, I think, I took pictures of her stuff during class. I hope to do half as good as she did.

Would like to find the template for all sizes.

Thanks so much to all the teachers for sharing their expertise.

Would the bookmarks be doable for Friday PJ party?

Here are bookmarks Sue and I made this afternoon. She thought we were going to make the tabletopper, but she left the templates at home to keep them safe. LOL
I think the bookmarks would make a great PJ party.
OOOps forgot to attach the photo, guess I'm still tired.

.. it's really fun getting to see pictures. The last few years I have been sort of envious as the COF threads would fly around, seeing all the fun. As you can see, KYIS was an overacheiver Smile pretty work you have there.
So glad i got to be there this time.
...Sure I wish I could post a picture of what i did .. but it would embarrass Jayardi to tears ... I was her #1 underacheiver in her shattle tutting class; perhaps if I could learn to say it - I could do it - naaah .. not a chance.. she was patient as a saint and still all I got was knots on the wrong thread. Sorry Jean ..but man did I see smiles when I handed over that quilt you did!

City/Sandie, you know you weren't the only dunce in the class! I can't count how many times I apologized to Jayardi for not getting it, and I came to the conclusion that my fingers are too short and tuttle was too long to shat with! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

... well this isn't a project done at COF, but I did buy at at the Springfield Quilt show ... it's an embroidery done in a stitch I can't say - starts with a J i think ,,, anyway - it's sort of couching as you go I guess ... I have it ironed to a nice fab fusible and will start working on it with that pretty lighter blue thread ...
... after looking at this in the picture - I'm pretty sure I'm nuts .. but being at COF does that to you ..

I didn't buy one of those kits but did do a sample at the show [& on the bus] and then made my own practice piece [from a quilt stencil]...these are also FUN & SOOOO EASY!!! I'm now wishing I bought 1 of those bigger kits!

I LOVE the table toppers...can someone email me [my board name at yahoo dot com] the different sizes of templates? I bought a cute snowman border print and would like to try it. TIA!
