KC, I was puzzled at first about this statement - I thought you were talking about the wings on the geese and wondered how you could tell the west wing from the east wing. LOL!

WTG KC....

I did make a couple samples using Bonnie's method..My 1st was too big by about 3/8th inch, adjusted my 1/4 stitch and ended up about 1/8 too short so when I'm ready to cut and sew I'll perfect that stitch and use her method...

No chocolate (I get migraines), but lack of sleep. Suprised I haven't sewn my finger again, lol!

All my geese are done and packed on top of my four-patches. I'm working later, so I will get a head start on cutting those 64 pieces of 2" x 3 1/2" of b & w prints.

I did, however, use steam to flatten the trimmed geese. I hate the flapping! Smile

Well, the pieces were marked on the end of step two, so if they are not for step three, they will be used during one of the other steps.

KC I have a question for you...when you cut out your wings for geese did you layer the B/W how you were going to pair them up or make piles of similiar and then choose as you sewed?

I am looking to be more stream lined in my sewing and you get done so fast.

I love how we learn from each other on this forum.

I also like your assortment of lights, have you been collecting them?

Quilt cam time later today!

I have a vast collection of B & W fabrics to pick from.

As far as laying out my W on B fabrics, I followed Bonnie's tute on flying geese, which she shows the proper lay out of fabrics. I then seperates the lefts from the rights, then seperated them by prints. I wanted to ensure that they used equally in my pieces.

If you don't own the Easy Angle ruler or want a simple way to make the flying geese, check out this blog for a quick tute.

How are those geese gonna fly if they can't flap their wings??? Seriously, though, I agree that they need a good steam pressing.
