The weekend the avatars got big I saw lightning out the west window. It was a dark and gloomy night with the wind howling up a storm...... Suddenly a particularly thunderous clap occured and the brilliantly white light from the lightening that ensued lit up the whole bedroom. i could see everything in the room...the lamps, the rug, the bed....Wait! No quilt on the bed. My heart racing I felt for the covering on it when the room went dark and my fears realized. A quiltnapping had occured! My beautiful hand stitched masterpiece was GONE!!!!! The masterpiece was gone alright! It was as if it had fallen down a black hole. Something made me turn on the TV to PBS and there on a britcom (or was it Masterpiece Theatre?) was my quilt on Judy Dench's bed! quiltinnana
Gasp! How did it get on Judy's bed? Dang! Now it's on TV and if I take it back there will be all this flap and follderol in the newsstands..."Freaking Out Woman Steals Valuable Quilt Right Off Judy's bed!!!!!" Oh...how did I get in this mess!!!??? Did one of my guests downstairs (I'm in the Upstairs) nip it and slip it onto the set????? NancyC20

I tried not to panic. I knew that As Time Goes By, the quilt would reappear. I just had to be patient. But wait what was that sound? It was the sound of Broken Dishes downstairs.

Broken dishes? Oh no - is there another rat (or "Siberian hamster") in the Fawlty Towers kitchen?! Better make Turkey Tracks down there & see! He could be after the Corn & Beans!

I made like a Flying Goose and soared down the stairs to the open kitchen door, my footsteps masked by the sound of the crunching dishes. I slid behind the door and peeked through the hinges...when what did my wondering eyes did see...THE SET DESIGNER for our favorite shows helping himself to more...
