Sew & Tell is our weekly sharing thread. Tell us what you've finished, what you're working on- we're here to cheer you on!
I'm still plodding away at putting my sewing room back together, and taking my new knee to therapy three times a week. I am back to driving, which is wonderful.
I am also cleaning in the craft room so can start on Christmas sewing. Hoping to finish it this week-end but.... I get helping hubby outside and that is that.
Holly, glad that you are driving and hope therapy is coming along okay.

I've been working on tags for the AAQI quilts that are to be sold at the Internatonal Quilt Festivaal in Houston but still have some time for sewing. Just finished this little mini. I seem to be in a metallic thread phase. This one is quilted with fuchsia metallic.

Bozie, your color choice is really sweet for this pattern. Great work on your mini. The AAQI will be so thrilled to receive your quilts.
I'm working on the scraps to treasure quilt. Also finished a twister and 2 candle mats. I need to prepare binding for another small quilt. And I'm deciding on how to custom quilt a customer's top.
Lovely colors on that one Bozie, one of my favorites of yours.
I am in a slump since finishing the top of my Orca bay quilt. I can't seem to settle on what to work on next. I even cleaned my sewing room and that seems to have made it worse, lol.
No sewing, but I did get the fabric purchased for GDs ABC quilt for her Christmas present. Two tops made...one to go!
Putting my computerized machine in the hospital tomorrow. I want to FM quilt the three quilts on it but it has a stitching problem. If there's a serious problem (read many $s), I'll do straight-row stitching with Shirley Anne (my Featherweight).
I have been working on my row by rows. Almost finished with the last one. Also, I am working on the signature blocks. I had them cut out and then lost them. I have looked everywhere. Maybe they are in someone's row by extra fabric. Who knows? So, I just cut them out again.
Bozie, what a wonderful little quilt. I always look forward to seeing your minatures every week.
Brandy. All I have to do is look at some quilt books or magazines and then I seem to get inspired. You will get you mojo back soon. I loved your Orca Bay quilt.
Looking forward to seeing what everyone else is working on this week.
• • • Still working on my scrap challenge too. Almost have top done then I can get back to the FQ Challenge for COF. Did some prep work for teaching my classes at the retreat.

Life without quilting is not an option! • • • • • MY Photos • • • • • • ENJOY!
Love your mini, Bozie. How fun that your using different threads!
I joined a small group from the guild that focuses on scrap quilting. This last month we all made 3 1/2" hst's and traded them to get a big variety. I've seen this pattern done with flying geese but decided I'd like it done with these HST's instead. It's a twin size and used only scraps. A FREE quilt!!
Bozie and Evelyn, you are both amazing! What an inspiration!! Oh dear... "Bozie" initially autocorrected to something that might have been censored;glad I caught it!
Bozie, what an amazing little quilt, can't imagine the small pieces you needed to cut. I look forward to seeing what you make each week. You are very creative. TFS Evelyn, that is a beautiful scrappy quilt. It looks like a Happy Quilt. TFS Pat
Love all the projects but I always do. You ladies never cease to amaze me. I have some more baby blocks done but no pics yet. I will try to remember to take them tomorrow and hope to get 4 more done. One is a blue batik but I can't make up my mind I Don't really like it so will use that for an orphan block in case anyone needs them.
I haven't been sewing much lately but hope to get back to it soon.
Bozie, your little mini quilt is just gorgeous. I love those colors. The metallic thread will really make it sparkle.
Evelyn, your scrappy flying geese quilt is very, very pretty. I love the way you've of set those blocks & the sashing fabric between is just perfect for the quilt.

Pretty, pretty quilts have been posted this week as usual!
I just finished a little "photo shoot" so I can show you what I've been working on lately. Some of these have been in progress for a long time and I decided that it's time to finish them up.
First is an ABC quilt. Those bright sashings were made with scraps that my Mom bought by the pound from the garment factory where she worked to finance college for me and my brothers (my youngest brother is now 59 so that was really a long time ago!)
After getting this ABC quilt put together, I decided I would give it to my great-nephew. He's rather tall for his age so I added another border. Neither of these ABC quilts are quilted.
Last summer I used up a lot of leftover fabric from mine and Mom's stash to make several lap quilt tops. Slowly but surely I'm getting the tops made into quilts. I don't do well with machine quilting, hand quilting takes much too long. So I tacked a couple of them recently.
Do you have any fabric in your stash that you can't remember where it came from? The dark floral in this quilt falls in that category for me. This is Eleanor Burns Double Pinwheel pattern - easy!
Several weeks ago, I showed you some fabric that 7 year old DGD chose for a quilt. Then some of you shared some black and white prints with me to add to them. Since Clarissa loves pink, I used pink embroidery floss to tie her quilt. Here's a corner of it.
Last time I visited with Clarissa, she saw some cupcake fabric at the shop where her Mom works and asked if I would make her another quilt with it. Since I hadn't quilted the first one yet, I decided to make it reversible. So I told her to pick another fabric to coordinate with the cupcakes. It took her about 10 seconds to choose the aqua dots. This message has been edited. Last edited by: pvillelou,
Almost finished this Halloween Door hanging..just have to bind it. I quilted all the spiderwebs and added depth to the pumpkins. When is is finished it will be sort of 3-D. I have an extra hat and some of the candy corn pressed onto fusable fleece. So i should be able to either fabric glue of stitch it down to give it the effect i want. been really busy sewing this week! loving it!
Oh look! I did make something this past week. Two more grocery totes.
Drove to the 40 miles away from here LQS to drop off my machine. Sign on the door said closed from 8/25 - 8/31. Reopening 9/1 in new location. Sad face until I realized TWO more trips to LQS in the near future.
You girls are amazingly creative & productive, too. I love your work. I actually got to sew for a change. I made a block for my shop hop. Catec7 created it in EQ, & I put it together. Then today I cut up 25 T shirts & got them ready to trim for a T shirt quilt. I'll post it when it's finished.
Hi All, I haven't been on for quite a while. Life has been crazy ! Haven't had much time to sew this summer either. I did manage to finish a t-shirt quilt for my husband that he's been wanting for 5 years or more.
All the projects look great , looks like everyone is staying busy!
Oh my goodness, so much has happend on this thread since I last looked at it. What pretty projects/quilts, etc. y'all have made. I'm printed a couple of pics for future inspiration. I'm really loving "scrappy" these days. TFS!

Some friends of ours just had their first baby about 5 weeks early so I had to hurry up and make this baby boy quilt. I'll hopefully get it quilted and bound tomorrow!
