The bag with the measuring tape AND the triangle tabs on the sides to pull the bag open. Thought I had one bookmarked but have torn hair out & can't find it. Someone must have one marked. HALP!

Jayardi has one on her PJ Party Tutorial program. I think you can see it here: https://docs.google.com/folder...ort=name&layout=list Scroll down & it's called Snappy Sacks pt. 1 & pt. 2 Nicki We live in the home of the free...because of the brave.

i think i am going to make one to hold my EpiPen. i carry it in my purse but the case cap keeps coming off and that is not a good thing. a snap bag would be perfect for it.

That's it! I didn't even think of PJ Party. I was all over Google, trying to find images & tutorials & not getting anywhere. Thanks!!

Here is a site I found this morning for the snap bag. It was brag and show Sat at LQS and I had my snap bags I had made to show. I did not use this method to make mine but here is one way. http://tatteredgarden.blogspot...py-bag-tutorial.html http://www.ludlowquiltandsew.c...ap_Bag_Tutorial.html

I had never made a snap bag before but 2 weeks ago went to Fall retreat and made my first one. LOL I came home with 5 and gave away 4. Between us at retreat we made over 20 of them, what fun. Here are my hints for this bag: I watched a tute on You Tube and it helped with the process. I also read the thread from this forum when they made them on a Friday PJ party. In regards to the ruler as to which way it goes into the casing. My pattern said to have the numbers facing to the inside of the bag, thus concave. I did this and it works great. Then I saw another site that said have the numbers facing out, the concave would be toward the inside of the bag. Well I did try that once and did not like the way it sealed, not tight enough so I went back to the concave toward the inside of the bag. The original pattern said to cut the lining longer then the body thus you would fold over the lining to make the casing. I eliminated this by the time I was on the 3rd bag.. I cut the lining and body the same length, quilted the sandwich. I then cut a 2" strip and sewed it to either end, folded that over to make the casing. I made use of odd pieces of binding I had in the stash basket. *****AND MOST IMPORTANT...take this from expierence, when you cut the metal tape and shape the ends, be sure to cut into a deep box or trash can and be very careful. I cut mine sitting at the sewing machine and cut into my small container I use for thread and fabric scraps. A very small sliver of metal I guess flicked off onto the floor and my foot found it OUCH! Here is a pic of one I made that will be a gift. I used strips of pieces that were leftover from a quilt I made my grandson. The casing piece is leftover binding from that quilt. I started digging through my scaps and came up with more combinations and different size bags! The snap bag in this picture is big enough that I can put my Kindle Fire in it. Snap ON!This message has been edited. Last edited by: texana, ![]()

THANK YOU for all those fab tips, especially about being careful with the metal cuts!

The sliver was so small that I did not see it at first. When I took a step it felt like an electric shockwave to the nerve. After about an hour I took an Aleve and thought maybe I had stepped on something to hurt my foot. As I rubbed my hand on the bottom of my foot to massage it I must have dislodged it cause the sliver was on my finger, but a very minute piece was left and my DH had to play surgeon LOL. I am making some bags to give out at Christmas using Christmas fabric, putting a candy cane in each. A friend is making some for Bunko gifts! One bag I made I used sewing themed fabric and that is what I use to carry my sewing machine bendable light since I use a different machine for retreat. A friend today told me she made some elongated ones for her teenage Grand daughter to carry her "monthly" needs in her purse LOL.
