| k you for reminding me of this. I knew I had seen it somewhere, years ago. I'd forgotten about the foli part. That's how I'll do my Kaffe Circles I started years ago. I was doing the kind of applique that you turn under as you go aong and not having much sucess. also thi\ought about sewing them to foundation fabric and turning them inside out. This looks great and easier too. Thanks bunches!

| I wonder if the tin foil might make it hard to know if you are pressing right or possibly the paper might get pressed wrong? Interesting idea though. I do the english paper piecing, so even on big or little circles, I use the basting stitches, press, then remove the basting stitches, and they make perfect circles! |

| That technique works great on lots of shapes...but on some it tends to put wrinkles where I don't want them...I'll never forget when I learned about this at quilt guild...it was like DUH!!!!! I couldn't wait to try it.....

| Very cool! Did y'all get to check out her fabric called "button box." Looks like it would work for some CQ motifs. I loved the circle idea, too. I've been wanting to do some applique . . . *someday!* Oh, here's the link to her fabric: http://blendfabrics.com/gallery/walnut-hill-farmwren |
