Younger DB is in the hospital for the THIRD time since Christmas...pneumonia yet again...OR he never got over it the first time.

He's single now...so his SIL said that he is enjoying the maid service and cook...he actually likes the hospital food and if they serve something he doesn't like, they will make him a ham sandwich! AND he's a truck driver so see no need in cable or satellite tv (me neither)...so he's enjoying cable tv now. LOL It would drive me bonkers...give me a book or an audio book...I could lay around for oh say...3 hours or so...then GET ME OUTTA THERE!

I hope he feels better soon. Then again, if he gets better they will kick him out! Really glad, though, that he is being treated so well!

I'm sorry to hear he is back in and hope he gets out soon. Too many other illnesses in there this time of year. The beds were all full in our little hospital with the flu-bug going around.
Maybe you will have to use your Big Sister voice and give him a gentle nudge...food, cable, nurses and a warm bed?

I hope he recovers quickly! Our hospital has been full, too. It's funny - we get lots of people who like being in the hospital because of all the things you said.

Sounds as if he is rather enjoying himself but I'm sure he wishes they'd find the problem and get it done with.

Sending along good thoughts for him, and prayers that they can get it right this time.

Thank you all.
Our baby B won't go to the hospital to see him. He just knows he'll catch something...

Older B won't go because that's the way he is...

Sherry, I sure hope DB is well soon. And as for the other DBs, well that's above your pay grade, so don't sweat it. Hugs, dear girl.

Sorry, Sherry, to hear he's still not on the mend. I'm glad he is enjoying the stay, but I'm with you — get me outta there.

Hope your DB gets well and out of there soon b4 he catches something else. If he was in the UK he wouldn't be so comfortable. My DS just did a stint in an NHS hospitable there. Six to a ward, no phone, no flowers allowed, one TV and overworked nurses.

I hope he is cured this time before they send him home. That pneumonia is not to be taken litely...several people have died here recently including a young teenager. One of the new rules for Medicare(etc.) is that hospitals will be penalized if anyone returns with pneumonia a 2nd or 3rd time.Turns out they have been sending to many people home still ill. This is exactly what happened to my elder neighbor..

I agree some people do "enjoy" poor health.

This is a fairly new hospital. The hospital it replaced...well...the follks from the nursing homes went there to die...not a good place.

A lot of money was poured into this one. It is open and airy. He has a private patio!!! Oh...ALL the rooms are private!

A funny....those of you who've seen me know that I have dark brown eyes and dark brown hair and my skin is not too pale. Wink The other two DBs I mentioned have my coloring too and still have lots of hair. DB in the hospital was blonde (now gray and almost all gone), fair complexion, and blue eyes! (Takes after the Blocker side of the family...ahem...Dan Blocker aka Hoss Cartwright is a cousin...and this DB looks as if he could be his brother...although because he's my brother I'd have to say not near as cute as Hoss. Smile ) Anyway, Saturday night he was laying there with his skirt tail pulled down and the covers off...with his bare feet sticking up while watching television. A black nurse came in and said, "Somebody needs a tan." I tried to get him to keep the black trouser socks I had on...I would've love to see the look on her face! Big Grin
