I'm sewing along on my sewing machine and all of a sudden it stops for a second and then starts going like a jack hammer , staying all at one place. Then I sewing again and it just cuts off, stops de ad. Then I am sewing forward and all of a sudden it starts going backwards at break neck speed. I'm wondering what is possessing it!!LOL
Then I'm on the computer in my e-mail, not even in the HGTV site and all of a sudden the computer clicks to the HGTV site and clicks on the site about a dozen times over. I had to get off the internet and go back on to get it to stop. Now, mind you it is not even October yet let alone Halloween. What will Halloween bring?!!

I had a friend's sewing machine do that to me once! I tried to stop it...it wouldn't!!! and then I jumped up and away from it...watched it sew crazily all by itself from 5 feet away. My buddy told me later the sewing machine had a short in it. I guess so!!!!

Maybe you should have the wiring checked up in your nifty new sewing space up there. Maybe some squirrels have gotten to it. Chomp chomp...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt.

Step away from everything and walk away. Come back another day! It sounds like Ouija board, Poltergeist, Excorist, FULL moon (it's not full I already checked and it's a pretty thin moon) - come back another day/time!!!

I've had the HGTV site pop up numerous times but also only when I've been on it. I would guess maybe a poltergeist. I'm looking forward to hearing from you closer to Halloween-

I have had this site do that to a time or two but haven't had my machine sew by itself. Hope it isn't computerized and gotten a virus in it. In any case have it checked, it could be dangerous

The Janomes are known for weird behavior and need to be rebooted after a lengthy stretch. It is frightening and I'd hate a child to be operating it. Of course, I've also had my cat lay down on my foot pedal. That did scare me.

I had a Grand Prix that only acted up when I drove it. Twice I had it towed and my DH started it immediately with no problem. After we sold that dem*n car they did a recall on it because of a faulty starter and transmission.

The only time my sewing machine sews by itself is when my little Westie dog sits on the foot control and away we go. Is sure does take you by surprise however.

Eek quiltemdeb

P.S. Maybe she could finish some of my UFO's while I am at work.

Eveyln: I had a Ford Maverick that died on Right turns. I could only make left turns. Turned out that really was a problem in that model, it wasn't just me...the mechanic said it happened to a lot of people!!!! Whew. Made me feel dumb.

I hadn't thought about having my cat finish my UFOs. Great idea! She thinks my Grace frame is her throne anyway.

How funny that the Maverick only made left turns! Guess it would be better to die on right turns so you're not in the middle of an intersection.

Owie ~ stay away from anything computerized! I once became "electricized" and shorted out my computer at work ... so I moved to another ... well over the course of a couple hours, I shorted out 3 of them, and they sent me home.... maybe you're just too electric! Big Grin

Evelyn: Weren't they considerate to have it croak on only Right turns???

Owie: Maybe it's your electric personality...or you're one "hot mama" in that cold air up there!

This was really good for a lot of laughs. I had an Intrepid that would not make right turns. Literally the steering wheel would freeze up on right turns. The mechanic thought it was a woman thing and I really let him have it. Finally it did it for him and he beleived me----men, they are always right no matter how many times they are wrong!!
