My town's fall festival has a "Country Store" craft show. Last year had over 80 entries in various categories - food, knitting/crocheting, quilting, etc.

I'm out of town, but the office manager of the chamber of commerce stopped by my office Friday and picked up my two quilted entries.

After returning to the motel after stuffing myself at the family reunion, me cell phone rang. It was the coordinator of the show.

The tabletopper I started in Branson and completed at home won a FIRST place ribbon!

AND I finished one of the DGSs ABC quilts Thursday night...it won FIRST place in the small quilt category!

I was shocked! The last couple of years some very talented ladies have entered quilts - more entries each year. I really did not expect to even place much less win first place ribbons.

Coordinator said that two out-of-town quilting ladies came to see the entries and helped with the judging of the quilted items and were both very complimentary of my entries. Big Grin Things like that are just plain good to hear.

Congratulations on your wins! I think it would be awesome to get a phone call like that. Both of your items are Blue Ribbon winners.

Colt's finished quilt. I almost forgot to take finished photos before the chamber manager picked it up. If it had disappeared...

Way to go Sherry!!! It was worth all the needle breaks. Very nice table topper and one little boy will have one more reason to love that quilt.

In order to see the rainbow, first you must endure the rain.
