FINALLY I can unpack my sewing machine! (soon) Sign In/Join

After a giant amount of stress and four months of incompetence, Chase bank has FINALLY granted my mortgage loan. So we are moving sometime soon and I will finally have time to work on retreat committee stuff!!! And then finish some of my UFO's lol.

It is unbelievable how many times Chase lost parts of my paperwork. Gonesewin was driving me back from retreat in September and watched me count to ten while on the phone with the loan officer who eventually got fired lol.

Added to that, the building we currently rent in had bedbugs in two apartments over the summer so ALL our stuff (including ALL my fabrics) has been packed up again for 3 months and we've been living out of a plastic bag with a weeks worth of clothes because the bank kept saying "just a bit longer" and we wanted to be able to move our stuff safely - did the bedbug thing once before and can't stand to go thru it again. It will be nice having more than 7 outfits to choose from each week LOL.

So now all I need to do is have the entire bathroom and kitchen ripped out of our new co-op, deal with any problems that arise from the renovation, and then move! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Yea, Jane! Good luck with the renovation and the move.

Right now I'm thinking about going to 7 outfits for each of my kids Eek. Their dressers and closets are getting out of hand! Guess I know what I'll be doing for part of their break from school.

So glad that you'll be able to get back to sewing before long!

Wow, what a hassle, Jane. Glad some progress is finally being made. Now, for that renovation to go smoothly and not uncover any money pits!!!

Glad to hear your plan is moving forward ... at last. Friends here had bedbugs at a rental. A mutual friend took the furniture to work and baked it in the specialized ovens (not for baking) to kill the bugs. Had to be over 200 for over 2 hrs or something similar. They were glad to move to their new location with bug free stuff. Whew!

Groan and congratulations!

I've been very fortunate in house hunting/buying. But have heard horror stories like yours. Glad you are finally through part of your ordeal and hope the reno goes smoothly and you can escape the bedbugs!
