I'm back from the first COF New England Luncheon with gals from this board.
We weren't high in number, but we had a great time at Cracker Barrel.
We had a Yankee Swap, a Prize drawing of FQs and a Show'nTell time. Then we went to Marden's to shop for fabric with a 10% discount KC1930 managed.

Here's a few pic:
This is muggomuggo and trble2'smom.

Here's J (KC's mom) and KC1930. I dare say she has a better photo, but I managed to get one while the waitress was taking orders.

Stillsuzz never showed up. We waited an hour before ordering, but since she never gave KC her phone number, we couldn't call her to see why she wasn't there. I hope she's OK.

I even took a photo of me which is a bit contorted. You know how it is when you try to take your own picture. But it wouldn't be any more beautiful anyway, because I'm not. Big Grin

KC brought a little gift for everyone. It was 2 little notebooks, a ballpoint pen (missing, I think I dropped mine in Cracker Barrel), and a handmade stiletto, which I adore. I remember that info being on our main board to make them.

In the Yankee Swap I got an oval Yo-yo maker. I love it. I think I'll be using it soon. Til now I wasn't really interested in yo-yos but this one is unique. I also love the FQ in which the gift was wrapped.

I went shopping at Marden's with one object in mind; TR gifts made from the easy Striped pattern PJPartytime class we had on Friday, Oct 19th.
These are the fabrics I found that I truly liked.
There are four of them.

I'm sure others will be along with other or better pictures. I had a great time.
Thank you KC for thinking of it.
I hope we have more of these with more quilters joining in the future.

Quiltbea, I cannot take the credit--MuggoMuggo's idea.

Yes, it was nice to sit and chat. Mom always hears me taking about the ladies on the boards and their many projects and it was nice for her to only meet a few of them but to also to see why I love the boards and spend so much time on my computer! Smile Hugs to all!

I think TR = table runner, but I've been known to be wrong at times. Smile

Looks as if you guys had a great time. Almost made me wish I was up North. So glad you all had fun. These mini local gatherings seem so practical and doable.

Thanks for sharing your fun.

Sorry Pinecone.....I just assume all quilters know that TR is tablerunner and WH is wallhanging. I'll be making some tablerunners as gifts for some of my relatives. But you know what they say about 'assume.'

Maybe next time you can join us? The more the merrier.

Quiltbee, just had a doh moment. Of course TR is a table runner. *sigh* I started a few a couple of years ago with good intentions. Finished one but now I have caught up on some.
Sherry, I know them from COF in Manchester too.
