It looks like there are 23 people (some on the committee even) who are in danger of losing their place at retreat. I know some of you have your deposits in the mail so you don't need to worry but the rest of you need to get a move on if you wanna join us in PA

Oh Lori! My heart just sank, huge lump in my throat, took me a couple of minutes to catch my breath....

I have been so used to seeing my name at about 13-15 somewhere in the list. Pulled the list up just now and it is now there, oh the panic that set it, was so scared, but I see you have moved me and some others to the end. But that is distressing too.

I mailed a check and forms to you Thursday, along with a check to a lady in Chicago for something else. The lady in Chicago got her check Saturday and my package from her is in route to me, may get it today (yay!). So I am keeping my fingers crossed you get my envelope today.

Mailed my check, but didnt mail any forms. I'll look for them and do that right now. The wind is blowing hard and it's raining here.

Well...it looks like this isn't going to work for me after all. I jumped in and signed up too soon. I want to let you know before things get finalized. Sad for me, but good news for someone on the waiting list!

I was planning to send my forms and check in today's mail but a bit nervous to with the weather you are having. Looks like PA is getting it today...

Guess I will go ahead and send it out today and hope for the best. This is why I shouldn't wait until the last minute!!!

Lori was hoping to see you posting but you must be without power. At least I hope that is the most you have to worry about. New Jersey is getting hit so hard. Will keep checking back for news about you and yours.

I am going to extend the date a bit because I've been w/o power and no internet and the PO has been w/o power and not delivering mail, SO - if you are on the list (and don't worry about WHERE you are on the list, it means nothing but whether I have your deposit & forms or not) and ARE planning to join us then let me know so I can be looking out for your forms and deposit.

Gonesewin, glad you are OK. I'm still planning on going. I was a late additiion off the wait list so I still have a bit of time. Been having printer issues, hope to have it fixed today. I should still get them to you in plenty of time.

Sorry to say I also would like to be put on wait list at this time, due to some uncertain things. Hope things change for me and get to move back up the list later.

I have never been to one before, but always follow the threads. I can't wait.

That time period is the week we usually take a vacation so it should be just fine.

I haven't had any real mail since Monday so please, no one panic that I haven't marked you as paid. I am sure it will get here eventually, as soon as power comes on to the processing stations.

Chylynn1129: that will be at least 2 of us with the same first name. I don't know if Shey is going but she's another.

That's odd. We haven't had mail, power, etc since last Monday. I've been charging my electronics at library.

My registration and check is in the mail. I am so excited about being able to attend - can't wait.

Lori, I guess they had all this mail and they just wanted to get it out of the way for when the regular mail starts up again. Also they probably were glad to get some hours in as they probably lost a lot of hours with Sandy.

I mailed mine and Kiwi_Sue's yesterday. Not sure if its going to take longer to get there or not, but it should be there in 2-3 days at most. Didnt even mail the rent cheque til yesterday either :P

Wait, Ambher - mail delivery isn't normal. It'll probably get here soon. I just got TX wildflower's today.

I mailed out on the 6th, did not want it laying in a PO somewhere. Just going across state, so should be there by tomorrow.

I've yet to hear anything from *Chris*, Coreysmom or TeaSea about mailing a payment and registration forms -- only 2 days left to get payment sent off.

For those of you who have sent but i haven't received yet, do not panic. As long as you've mailed them as you've posted and the postmarks match up you have no need to worry.

And then there are those who got bumped up and they have a certain amount of time once they were notified.

HOPEFULLY - the PO will be back to normal and the weather will co-operate :-)

I'm curious about the symbols that appear after people's names. I know the cookie means that your payment was received, but what does the smiley face and the * mean? Thanks.

* is for people who've not missed a retreat yet

is for people whose registration and fees I've received

I'm glad my registration got there in good shape. I think I should also have a smiley face since I have never been to a retreat before.
(I was just going to ask the same thing - about what the symbols meant)

Mother and I mailed ours on Oct 27th, and you still haven't received it. I know the mail's been out of whack for you, due to Sandy, but I'm becoming concerned....especially since TX Wildflower mailed hers 2 days after us, and you've already received it.

Do you still want us to wait before mailing another check?

Quiltedmagnolia - I too sent mine before Tx Wildflower and mine is still MIA . . wonder where all these envelopes are sitting? Glad to here mine isn't the only one missing.

I hope I'm not jumping the gun here - when will the hotel information be announced?

Elle, On page 1 Lori mentions that once registration is closed she will post the hotel information. I know she mentions it will be 95.00 a night and they are giving us that rate for some days before and after the retreat.
I don't know how many have looked at the blog but Lori has quite a bit of information there too. At the top of the page are three tabs, the one tab in the middle has a lot of information in there.
I researched about the train excursions that are available from this area into Philadelphia and other places too. Kind of exciting! I am thinking my DH and I might make a week of it and visit the area while there as we have never been to this area, and a bonus! a train to get us around. Just looking hurriedly the rates aren't bad.
I'm really looking forward to this retreat and anxious to see old friends and new faces.

On the blog I gave the date of the 10th...I am working on getting all the info together on the blog but a while ago I heard a loud crack/pakush! and lost power. It's back but I am tired so I will finish and post it all tomorrow...

DH is heading down to Atlantic City area tomorrow to help demolish some buildings. As a volunteer for our f*aith. Also the man who came to our house today to install cable has the same last name as you Gonesewin and says there are very few of you. Hope things get better quick for you.
