HiDarby. When I go to a class or workshop, I stuff my supplies into the wheeled tote with the sewing machine. I can put lots in there. Sometimes there are things that won't fit and those have to be taken in another bag, but not often.

i dont go to quilting classes..

but i would think if you lay out the supplies that you want to take on a table and arrange them how you would want them in a bag (as far as pockets go..

then you could design a pocketed lining or insert for your favorite bag/tote.. just make the lining (for the tote your making) with the pockets where you want them..

God bless you all and may sunshine always be in your lives to brighten your days..

Depending on what and how much i need to bring along, I sometimes use one of those clear plastic ArtBin containers. I've also used just a regular tote. I read somewhere that someone used a soft sided briefcase. I already had a LandsEnd case and it worked out well...had lots of pockets for rotary cutters and scissors, pencils, a big pocket for fabric.

I also have a box on wheels. Just kinda depends on what I'm bringing.

Good luck with your class. I hope you have fun and make a beautiful quilt! Come on back here for advice or help if you need it!

I went to a retreat and a girl had a rolling tool box thing. Ingenious! She got it at Home Depot!

I also have one of the rolling sewing machine bags, with lots of pockets, that I keep everything orgnized in...I also have a small basket that I strap on top that looks like one of those folding shopping baskets...it's so handy...

I am in the process of making a case to hold my rulers and cutting mat...I don't really take classes either, but sometimes I just like to take fabrics to cut while I am at my 3 hr Friday sit and sew
