On Halloween Day, I used a hotel computer just before flying out and saw a new pattern (on Pinterest) for a Dove applique. I thought there would be no problem finding it again because I wrote down some 'tags' to find it again. I sketched the dove and the 'folksy' flowers, but didn't catch the name of the pattern company...
Believe me, it's a very pretty dove. The quilt was done on a dark background and the dove was in a mix of pretty beige fabrics. It's a side angle of the bird and facing a simple bouquet of folk-style flowers.
If you see one, would you share it here?

Thank you, Paus! Thank you for searching!! That's a pretty pattern... not the one, but pretty just the same!
The pattern that I saw was a finished quilt (on Pinterest) - the dove is large and sort-of in-flight. The group of flowers could be called folk-style or Jacobean.
When I was on the computer, I had visited this forum and someone had just mentioned the Stroll the Blocks patterns... I remember then doing a search on Stroll the Blocks (to see 'pretties') and must have clicked on a picture that was tagged to Pinterest. Someone there had a 'board' of quilts 'pinned' and I saw a cute Buggy Barn pattern, "Bird Brain" and I saw a great appliqued rooster quilt and a super-cute quilt with a cat looking up at a birdhouse... and then The Dove quilt! I know I saw a Pin Member named Flavia that had either pinned the picture or re-pinned the picture. I'm learning how that works now because I've searched (((several))) times!
Like I said, the quilt is beautiful... small, but beautiful. You'd love the fabrics that the quilter chose for the dove!
I wish I had been using my laptop, but this was on a hotel's computer. I wrote down a number of 'tags' that should have led me to the photo... oh well. If it was just 'pinned', others will maybe use the word 'dove' as they re-pin the photo and that will help the searching. I'm sure the pattern will pop up somewhere!
I ran across an (older) pattern that I traced from the Country Christmas Quilting book. It's a simple design and guess what - you can get this pattern, free from Quilter's World: http://www.quiltersworld.com/n...ticle&article_id=545
I'm going to use this pattern, draw a new template for the wing (and tail) to include detailed feathers. When I sketch the dove from the Pinterest, I didn't sketch the bouquet of flowers, so I made up my own for reference. Eventually, I'll be able to reference the pattern and designer by name as inspiration.
Thank you for taking part in searching! (pattern searches have always been something that I enjoy taking part in... you never know where it leads!)
I've run out of time as well! - I have a feeling the photo/pattern will show up after I've forgotten about it...! Until then, I'm using this template (link above) for a couple projects that I can work on in the evenings - one is a table-mat with doves all around the edge (all cut out and ready to sew) and the other will be a Christmas Trio.
Thanks for keeping an eye out for the Dove quilt. Enjoy the Sewing!
