We are almost there! Are you ready?!!! This is super simple.

You need two pieces of fabric cut no larger than 12" x 13" and no smaller than 10" x 11".

Some of those little poly beads which I failed to buy. So at the grocery store today I bought 4 pounds of rice which I did not measure but according to the bags I have 10 cups. I need another bag. It looks as if the 12x13 is going to take 15 cups of something small like rice and hopefully the poly beads.

And your basic sewing supplies, of course.

Since this is simple, we can start at 8 p.m. central time which is...

9 Eastern
8 Central
7 Mountain
6 Pacific

Does that sound right? Now...someone call and remind me. Wink

Edited: I forgot...I first stuffed this bag with polyfill. It might work in a pinch.

You should be able to find them at Hobby Lobby and Michael's...hopefully.

Quiltywife PMd me with photos of a different e-reader pillow. She had suggestions for the filling:

"You were looking for beads or something for the front ridge pillow. I used a mixture of the very fine styrofoam micro beads and ground walnut shells for the holding ridge. For the large pillow I used poly batting scraps and some of the micro beads. I should have made the ridge more filled and formed, but it works.

I got the micro beads by raiding a couple (only really need one) of the horseshoe shaped neck "airline" pillows that I found at Goodwill! They do a nice job of giving a flexible shape and are not real heavy if you want the pillow on your lap (works great while traveling or just couch sitting.) The walnut shells give just enough supporting weight and still have a flexible movement."

Me again:
Now, her pillow and mine are made different, and I don't think the poly batting scraps will work in mine. Don't use rice either -like my prototype- it's going to be heavier than the beads. The styrofoam beads sound really good!

If you check out your local thrift stores or SA or Goodwill, etc. there might be those pillows with the real fine beads. Those are so lightweight, but can form a nice shape when needed. Just watch out when you raid the old pillow for the new one--those things have so much static you will find them clinging to all kinds of things!

I think JoAnn's has those poly beads...by their doll making supplies. [don't forget to use your coupon]
