I just posted last week that I never find fabric at a garage sale. Picked this up this morning for $20 and came out smiling! It is hand appliqued. The blocks are machine stitched together.

The blocks are in excellent condition with minimal staining/spotting. There are 2 light water marks (I darkened this so they would show)

And a couple of spots. I'll have to figure out whether I will try to get them out.

Yes, I was grinning from ear to ear...DH asked why are you so happy - you are coming out with almost nothing? I have a set of string blocks in 30's fab with a yellow starting color, so you know I loved this (and would never have made this pattern myself)! Thanks for looking!

I love your quilt. I can't see any quilting. Is it quilted, backed or top only and if so, what are your plans for it? I love the colors - so happy - they make me smile!

Maybe try a little oxyclean to see if it'll remove the water marks. Let it air dry because drying it in the dryer will set the stain. That's a great find btw...

Beautiful-reminds me of spring! I use original Dawn with a soft toothbrush. Sometimes it has to soak awhile. But Ive had luck with getting all stains out.

Looks like a top only. What are your plans?

Regardless pf what you clean with, would you clean the areas and then rinse the whole piece in the bathtub & spread it out to dry?

It is just a top and measures 68x85. I have not had time to decide how to finish it, but I have 2 projects to finish before anything will happen with this one. Thanks for your comments!

I wonder about stabilizing the edges with a straight seam before soaking out the stain???
