This queen size rail fence really busted a lot of stash! Several months ago, patty j and sister sue showed a rail fence in greys and reds that I fell in love with. I was determined to use only stash and tried lots of combinations before I found one I like - but I still like their grey/red one best.

...pville ... that pink Z stripe showing wider than the blue Z stripe is a nice look - keeps it from being boring...very pretty.

Such inspirations!! Do the bibs take very long to make - I'd like to make something quick and useful for donations. The bibs sound like a good idea.

Pville, I really like what you did with the rail fence pattern Sue and I used. We were going to make another one for my son for Christmas, but we couldn't come up with the right colors to go with the electric Blue I wanted to use. TFS
Everyone, it sure looks like you are doing some serious stash busting and I'm loving all the projects shown. Pat

Wonderful projects everyone. I am hemming a dress this a.m. I'm trying to remember if it was Fall or early Winter when I purchased the fabric; I'm gonna say Fall after I bought two simple Dressbarn dresses and decided to get back to sewing with knits for myself again. So I ordered from Fashion Fabrics..online these three pieces of knit and in an hour or so...I'll show you the first dress completed...Hold on!

Sorry I've been AWOL for a while. It has been really stressful here ( college freshman orientation, kids getting evacuated with the wild fires, emergency tooth extractions and the return of cancer to a dear friends son) I did receive the pkg earlier from Royal Boom and had let her know in a PM that it had arrived.

What a great pkg and I don't know how to do pics here so here are the contents of the pkg

McCalls how to quilt ir magazine
Summer 2008 quilts and mOre magazine
Quilts in a hurry book
Dec in the house with Quilted projects book
Piece 'n' Play quilts book
A great card from Royal Boomer
Fluttering Medallion quilt pattern
Washable Wonder marker
Pkg with 6 spools of cool colours thread
Handeze therapeutic craft gloves
Set of 3 elasctic threaders
Qjuilt in a bo Christmas Wreath
2 pieces of lovely blue fabrics ( generous yard pieces by the way)

And a Hand printed block with the quote " Face the Sun and the Shadows Fall Behind you" printed on it.

Thank you again Royal for a lovely pkg and again I am in awe of winning such a great pkg

Ireally needed a new purse so I went thru my stash and found what I wanted. It was very easy to make too.

I made a rope bowl from some stash. It always amazes me how different the fabric looks when you put it into a rope bowl. I'm planning to give this one to our Pastor & his wife when we go for a meal at their home. I'll probably fill it with homemade cookies.

Love that bowl. It is on my to do list.

McPatches... The purse is a simplicity pattern #2396. I have had the pattern a few years so it probably isn't available now but you could check.

Here are the rest of the 18 I mailed off today. Except for the wildlife one, all of it came from my stash. The wildlife one I bought the main piece of the fabric for a quarter and the green top for another quarter at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago, so that is my under 50 cent case!!! Couldn't believe the almost yard was 25 cents but I guess because it wasn't the normal quilting fabric she just wanted to get rid of it... Chris

Love that cartoon! This has been a fun thread-all the projects are amazing-you guys rock!

I have been busy-haven't figured out how to post my pics on this laptop yet-but I'm gonna! I made a complete nursery set-all Razorback for my new GS. Also made a 90x90 wedding quilt for friends. Made 4 dolly quilts so far. Trying to recover a chair for DS so they can rock my GS. I haven't ever covered a chair-and I'm not having fun. I swear I'm getting out the staple gun and the fabric glue!!

Middle DD moving out this next month right after her 40th b'day-finally. She was only suppose to stay 6 mos-haha! I'm sorta ready for her to go and sorta not. So I guess I'll be busy helping her. Then I'm turning that room into my new quilting studio-twice the room! I'm gonna miss my ceiling to floor shelves though and this is a long attic type room with slanted ceiling. But I'll figure it out-I'm excited about it for several reasons-

DH will never go up there (it's on 2nd floor) after the initial set up. It will be my Quilting Haven-YES!!! Since he's a TV hog in the LR! And I can do whatever and he won't see how much fabric comes into this house-only finished product-which he has loved everything I've ever made-LOL! I guess that's the best reason. It has it's own zone for heating and cooling. Guess we'll get walkie-talkies-LOL!

Pam - walkie talkies work ... seriously - my 9 Y/O grandson carries one outside all the time .. doesn't go anywhere but it reaches over a mile - so he and we are always in touch ... we are in a mobile home community - not a lot of strangers, but still ... gets dark and kids are still all out ... gotta be safe.
So many wonderful things done - and chris I cannot believe the way you turn out pillowcases .. wow - that pile from you is really going to bless a lot of people. thank you.

Thanks, Chris for letting me know the name of that cartoon. We don't get it in the local paper. I just saw it on the Tomspoolery Facebook page and it didn't have any credits given.

I'm in awe of the pillowcases you make every month. Do you have any idea of how many heads go to sleep every night on your kind workmanship?

Congratulations ladies! Lots of great projects this past month. I completed all the projects left from last year this month and I am really pleased with that accomplishment. Wisconsin had its first state wide shop hop this month and I participated much more that I thought I would. Hummmmm ...most of my next projects probably won't be true stash busters, but I will be watching this thread.
