Ladies, there are some of you who are waiting on swap items from me, whether it be for the Birthday FQ swap, or mugrug swap, they are now enroute, some for the third time Frown ,so I am hoping everyone recieves their items. I do apologize and appreciate your patience. I got behind during our trip to the states, and we got so busy once DH joined us working on our house there, that time just slipped away... and I have been very busy since we returned home, life happened in a whirlwind, I hope everyone will forgive me and be pleased when they receive their items. I just wanted to take a moment and let you know I had not forgot about you!

Q. eventually we plan on 6 months in the states and 6 months here. We wanted to get the house in order so we could at least rent it, instead of it being vacant. We purchased it in 2009 when we were home. Actually it was a surprise to me, DH wanted me to have a home to go back to in the event something were to happen to him. After realizing there are no longer any nearby quilt shops in my home town, I really wouldn't want to live there, so we are hoping to do a bit more work on the house the next trip, and hopefully sale and buy something in Tenn. where we could rent to toursist on a daily/weekly basis and leave our vacation time open for us to live there...but we all know about the best laid plans of mice and men Razz

Ditto Lindsay, and I am still amazed everytime I see that darling lil' quilt Lori made, so sweet, and she did such an amazing job!

Apologizing is the least I can do, this board and the ladies on it are like family, and it would break my heart to know I had hurt someone or there be hard feelings. Quilty friends are the BEST!

Trish, I hope those plans work out for you. When you say rent to tourists, are you thinking of the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area? You wouldn't have any problems renting there for sure!

Welcome back! I'm just glad it's been good things happening in your life not some illness or other sad event. I'm not involved in any of the swaps right now, but I can tell you from past experience that I never minded waiting until the swapper managed to get things done. It's when it never happened that I got upset. So, you're all good.

WELCOME BACK TO THE BOARDS!! I sure did miss you but figured it was just traveling & such that kept you away. I'm not in any of your swaps but do appreciate that you are standing true to your word to keep your committments. I signed up for a swap a few years ago & the host of the swap just left with no word & the few of us who had signed up just worked things out between ourselves. Months later she showed up on the boards again with no mention of why she dropped out of the committment....SO FRUSTRATING. Good luck with your house in the states...hope all goes well!
