I won a door prize that included a FQ of some yellow & green fabric, and I'm going nuts trying to identify the name of the design. It's by BJ Lantz for Studio E Fabrics -- that's all that's on the selvage. Anything before that was cut off.

It would probably be in someone's stash in the yellow fabrics, although I'd call it yellow with green. That should narrow it down as a yellow fabric with only one other color, if your stashes are kept that way. It's a very "regular" (as opposed to scattered) print of yellow daisy-type flowers about an inch across. The flowers are 2 tones of yellow, with green centers & green between the petals in the background. The flowers are lined up in grid fashion & touch each other. Just a little of the green background shows through between each flower.

I've been ALL over the web, Studio E's site, Google Image Search, QuiltShops.com, EQuilter.com, etc., and I can't find this fabric! I'd love to know the name of the design or fabric line. No telling how old it is or where it might have come from. I don't need more...I just want to know the name of the fabric so I can write it on the selvage for posterity! And maybe poke around the web to see what any other fabrics in that line might have been like -- what it played nicely with. Smile

I have NO idea how to post a picture...what the "URL" of the pic is if it's in my computer. I was absent that day in Computer Class 101. Wink

But can you look in the yellow sections of your stashes anyway, without a picture? Hopefully my description was detailed enough. I know my yellow stash is not as big as my other colors, so yellow & green would stand out immediately. Anyone have this fabric with the rest of the info on the selvage??

That sounds like a fabric I've seen with bluu in the background and also a colorway in pink. I got it at JoAnn's about 3 years ago...but I've still seen it around. If it's the one I'm thinking about, I love it and wish I'd bought more!

You don't use the URL to post a photo. Under the white box where you type the message, there are blue letters stating "Add Attachment?" Click on those letters. Then a "Browse" button will appear (along with other stuff which you can ignore). Click the button and you can select a file on your computer. It needs to be smaller than 150 KB. So many of us reduce the size using paint (comes with your operating system) or Picasa (freeware downloaded).

Hope this helps a little.

Can't help you with this particular fabric, but....I ordered a surprise pack of fat quarters from Keepsake Quilting. I really liked one of them and asked if I could buy it in yardage or more fat quarters. Of course, I couldn't! A customer rep emailed me a link to www.missingfabrics.com If you go to the site, you can take out an "ad" with a picture of the fabric you are looking for and have lots of people looking for it. I decided to use a different fabric so didn't pursue this, but it might help you out!
Good Luck,
Susan

Nancy - I think I know which JoAnn fabric you mean...I have it in red. It's in my red tone-on-tones in the stash. This one is definitely 2 colors. It's so frustrating that I have the maker & designer but can't find it online!

Seeing Stars & Susan - Thanks - I didn't even see that Add Attachment link! I went right up to the picture icon at the top & gave up! Hopefully I can add a pic now. As I said, I don't need more of the fabric, I just want to know what it's called & whether it had other fabrics in that same line. I like to keep my fabrics labeled with as much info as I can, for future reference. If I'm at the store & the cut I get from the bolt doesn't have all the info, I write it down from the end of the bolt before I leave the cutting counter. I do this for all LQS fabrics. This one definitely feels heavy/thick, like a quilt shop cotton. OK - let's see if I can mess up adding a picture now, or if it's foolproof even for me! Wink

Funny, now that I see that close-up on the screen, it looks less like flowers/daisies. But the piece I have "in real life" looks floral to me when I view it at normal distance.

It looks like the line of fabric is called "So-Ho". Here's a link to what I think you are looking for. Scroll down & you will see your piece in the samples.

WOW! DING DING DING - we have a winner! Smile

Thank you soooo much! It's definitely that design, but it doesn't have any purple in it. I wonder if it came from a bolt that was a mis-print? Well, in any case, you found it. I don't know how, but you did! Smile

I would never have pictured those other fabrics with it. What a surprise! I had held it against my stacks of green fabric, and nothing popped out & said, "Marry me!" Even my yellow stacks were iffy. It's a tricky shade of yellow. Maybe I'll see what it looks like with the purples.

Thank you for finding the needle in the haystack! Smile

Now I just read that it came out in 2009! So this is a "vintage" piece, lol.

Nancy, it's funny you should say that. I'm known as the "company sleuth" at work! hehehehe! O.k., where do I get my ticket to Hawaii?
