What would you do with this?
I went to the Goodwill store to look for some pants for DD, I walked by a ben full of material and could not pass up a look. This was all folded up with a rubberband around it. at $.50 I could not pass it up. So when I got home and opened it up, I went WOW.
So my question to you is?

Would you cut it, leave it in one peace? What would you do with it?

The smallest Cross in the corner is the one you put in the room.

I hope all our daily ups and downs are with needle and thread.

Is it cotton, rayon a blend?

If it's cotton, there are lots of ways to use it and even cut it up.

Anything else I think I would would leave it as is for a table runner or cover for the back of the couch.

Leave it as it is and either put a backing on it...if it is large enough to become a throw or hem it as a table cloth. And then there is always curtains or drapes, where you would only make one cut or perhaps, Roman shade. I'd hate to cut it up.

Along with what kind of fabric, the question is what size?

Pretty fabric!!!!!

If the previous suggestions don't fit in your home, I would cut those border ends off to reuse as borders in a new piece and then use the center portion as fresh fabric with others colors to make blocks. Those borders could be used as table runners on their own.

Does it have any label with country of origin? That looks like it could have been a souvenir from somewhere abroad. Paisley pattern makes me think Middle East or India... Have you searched for anything similar to it online?

I wouldn't have the heart to cut it - I'd use it on a table or a wall!

If you have a history museum close by I would take it there to be sure you dont have something of value.. I have never seen anything like that before.

What type of fabric is it? I definitely wouldn't cut it. It's gorgeous and looks expensive.
