You're Not In Kansas Anymore, Toto! --- 6 days left -- ROLL CALL please.. Due Dec 28
I have been trying to think of something new and fun to do for a quilt challenge and my mind keeps going to The Wizard Of Oz for some reason!! I keep saying over and over, You're Not In Kansas Anymore Toto!! Too funny!!
So... this is going to be our next quilt challenge!
You will be creating a quilt that reflects the movie "The Wizard Of Oz"!!
It is going to be so interesting to see the creations that come out of this challenge! The opportunities to do so many unique and clever designs is endless!
Your quilt is your creation... NO rules as to how to create it... only that it HAS to be a quilt/wallhanging and it must be at least 36 inches square.
Photos of these will be due to me by December 28 and I will have them ready to show on the forum on New Years day, 2013. That gives you almost 3 whole months to make your quilt.
And as always... There will be PRIZES!!

My fabric is here; now to put my design idea into reality.

My deepest apologies, Thearica. I'm not going to finish my quilt. I just can't get my focus together to make it happen.
I want to design the top for the Sandy Hook memorial quilt, and I keep drifting away from the Yellow Brick Road to the design wall.
I feel bad about letting everyone down. I will do my best to get the next one done.

I don't think it is going to happen. Extra grand baby sitting has interfered with plan. I have an idea and watched the movie last week to make sure I remembered all the details. It might happen though-if I get off the computer. I do really like my idea.

Q. I completed my quilt and sent you 2 pics by PM. Will look forward to see what everyone made. Mine was very simple, but I liked it. Sue

Started on it and the idea was working but too much Christmasing has my carpal tunnel really acting up so sewing is not going to happen for a few days. Will not make deadline but will finish the project some time.
Sorry. Karen

My tweaking did not happen, but I am going to email you my pictures later on tonight I hope. Otherwise during the day tomorrow. Like someone else I am babysitting grandkids, four of them under the age of ten. We have had fun, but no sewing got done. Jackie

I always think I will have the time to do one but I never do for some reason... but If I had, I would not be in the showdown for prizes anyway...
