I washed the baby quilt for the fourth time. I used Oxyclean & hot water in a mustard bottle on each orange line. I used Tide Coldwater (that's all I had) and washed the quilt using warm water. THE ORANGE LINES ARE GONE!!! Thank you all for your tips......you are the best!!!

I'm glad that you were able to get the lines out. The quilt is adorable! We do have a helpful bunch on this board, don't we?

So glad to hear you were finally successful in removing the marks.

I have recommended the use of the markers, and I admit it was really scary the first time I used them, also on a baby quilt. Do you pre-wash your fabrics? I'm trying to figure out what the problem was, because I'd like to keep using them, but your experience might make me consider another method. Great quilt!

Beautiful quilt and washing results...I'm going to keep using them but skip the orange and yellow.

What an adorable quilt. I am so happy for you that the marker marks finally came out. I know you must have been just ill over the fact that they might have been permanent.

Hurray! That's so cute! School supplies are already being stocked and put on sale. Getting a pack of these for $1 sure beats other markers. I do keep Oxyclean in my laundry room but it looks like the other colors work great. TFS

Nicki - yes, baby Emma due in August will get the quilt.

Karen - this fabric was not prewashed because it was a kit. Usually, I prewash fabric.

Thank you all for your kind words.
BTW...Lesson learned.....no more markers for me.
