The 1st 2 rows I got from Connecting Threads. I got 2 rolls (24 strips each) of the 1st row and 4 jelly rolls (24 strips each) of the 2nd row. The Blues I got from my local quilt store. They will cut any combination of colors you want. This has 40 strips(2 of each color). I don't mind coming to work. But that 8 hr. wait to go home is a drag. http://s182.photobucket.com/albums/x189/indycatCarol/

Mandy, thanks for answering TcMay's question for me. Do you all think the blues would look good with a yellow square between them or just keep it blue and white with white squares? I also think I'm going to cut the strips to a 22" length. This message has been edited. Last edited by: indycatCarol, I don't mind coming to work. Have you seen the strips joined with a diamond shape instead of a square? Really nice looking. If not using a piece to join the strips, I like the ones I have seen that are joined at an angle like binding. Just a thought. Strings Friends divide our sorrows and multiply our joys.

..abbout the strips .... I think yellow might throw it off a bit with all those lovely blues .. maybe a dark navy? You can tell I'm a MONO .... LOL I cannot change 'things', but I can change how I feel about them. Me. Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org

Strings, would that be like a real short piece of a contrast color cut on the same as the stips (I did mine like binding) so when they are joined it LOOKS like a diamond? I like that idea ...TFS .. I like both combinations...would depend on the purpose for me. If I wanted cool and restful...just blue and white. With some zip (those are 2 of the 3 primary colors) I'd add some yellow...but not the pale one, I'd use a deeper one. That reminds me of Myrna Loy in "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House" "...not just any yellow...the color of your best butter..." LOVE THAT SCENE!!! "It's bad to supress laughter. It goes back down and spreads to your hips."

Thanks Mandy.....Indy...I think a soft yellow would be nice with the blues... May "In Michigan"
