Craft Wars....ugh. "How fast can you slap something together out of a heap of stuff?" That's what that show has boiled down to for me. I finally saw a display of Tori's jewelry supplies at JoAnn's. Wasn't impressed...looked cheap & flimsy!
No, I'd much prefer to watch stitchers create a look from fabric & then send it down the runway, good or bad. I also like how the designers get to "sleep on it" on PR & start over the next day, before the runway show. THAT I can relate to. How many times have I closed the sewing room door late at night & gone to bed, only to have a problem not look quite so daunting by the time I started up again the next day?!

TTT __Just to remind you all that Project Runway starts tomorrow---Thurs. Night. Enjoy your program. Pat
"Project Runway: Road to the Runway" starts an hour BEFORE the actual 1st episode of the show -- so pop your popcorn or set your Betamax accordingly! You're going to want to catch the hour-long Road to the Runway and THEN the 1st episode of Season 10.
Mondo & Anya are supposed to be on the preview show. The "real" show is going to be 91 minutes long, so don't have your recording cut off too early. That episode is called "A Times Square Anniversary Party." At 10:30-ish, after the conclusion of the show, Lifetime will re-air the entire episode.

Bumping up to the top so No One forgets to watch tonight. Have fun.
i thought the first show, getting to know the designers was boring. i couldn't wait for it to end. one gal and one guy are really "weird". can't see them lasting too long.

I agree, too long and drawn out. Didn't agree with who doesn't get to continue. Also didn't agree with the winner. Maybe should have been a tie. Liked the winning dress, but liked the other better. Won't name names since all may not have watched it yet.

I thought we would have some chatter about last nights first show of the season...
I sure expected that beautiful white pant set to win! That was gorgeous and so well made! I know he was very disappointed...
The winners little black dress kept creeping up the front.. bad choice for a winner in my 2 cents...
Crazy Quilting is addictive so we just have to STITCH IT OUT LOUD!

I won't name names because I don't know them yet, LOL! If anyone hasn't watched the episode, stop here.
I thought the "snake skin" dresses designer should have been the one booted off. That brown tulle/sink scrubbie dress was horrible, and her vintage makeover not much better.
Loved the white pants suit & "rose" bustier. Made me want to go find some rose-colored fabric & start playing with folds. Even his second look dress was nice. I thought he should have won last night.
I didn't "get" the black quilted dress with the WIDE hips (inspired by fencing) or that kooky romper & the iridescent upholstery fabric (?) mini dress that went with it. They must have wanted variety on the show...they sure got it. I don't care to see "teenage street clothes," or whatever they called that look. For judges who are always knocking designers for "cheap" looks, they sure gave him a break.
If you want more insider info on PR, remember there's that "Blogging Project Runway" site. They had scenes from the Times Square runway show long before last night's episode.

the dress with all that tull was awful and so was her other dress, looked like a bunch of dolies sewn together. not very attractive at all. some of those clothes were bad, i think this is the worst runway ever. however i did like the fushia bustier, that was sooo pretty. i wasn't impressed with this show.

Where do they find some of these designers??? some kooky ones this time...
There was a long flowy red dress that was pretty going down the runway...the brown one with the tucks was pretty and the rose bustier was exceptonal. I didn't mind Miss Black and all her leather too much...she seems to have a plan and isn't like a loose cannon...
So glad to see Tim and Heidi back with Nina and WhathisName. LOVED Nina's dress...I wanted her to stand up so I could see it..
Oh I love this show...

That was a pretty interesting show. I enjoyed it although I will admit I fell asleep during the judging.
I also loved the fuschia bustier and white pant suit-which I thought should have been first. I also liked the pleated dress that won.
Didn't like the python leather thing, and the tulle was horrible. didn't like the knit-looked like gray sweatshirt material all stretched out-who wears that except to slink around the house?
Umm-the Japanese guy-outrageous in NOT a good way. Mongo was out there but a great designer!
yeah..that's it NCIU...too much SILLY drama. Like 5 year olds!

After watching a half hour of the "pre" show I got so turned off by how STRANGE most of the contenders are I changed the channel. When the real show came on I almost didn't watch. I did but I am not sure this group of people will hold my interest. If they get any stranger I will no longer watch.
My favorite is the guy who did the beautiful top with the folded flower. At least his looked like real CLOTHING.

I missed it Thursday so I am not going to read your posts. Does anyone know if it's going to be re-run before next weeks episode?

I just checked the TV listing for this Thursday. Looks like they'll run it again at 8pm, before the next new episode. But they're going to have to fit 90 minutes of the first episode into one hour of TV time then to do that, I guess? (I did notice there were a LOT of commercials last week...)
I think you can watch the episodes on Lifetime's PR web page, too?
