...My sweet adorable brother (that should be a clue right there) sent me a birthday card -
We are from the PNW so the tall redwoods on the front made me think of 'home' .. and it reads
"Birthdays always remind of of the giant redwoods on the West Coast. The way they stand tall and proud year after year, century after century. Their majestic beauty never fails to take my breath away."
.....Thank You For Planting Them....
"People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within." Elizabeth Kubler-Ross
oh sweet and funny
The smallest Cross in the corner is the one you put in the room.
I hope all our daily ups and downs are with needle and thread.

What a brother you have!!! Happy Birthday to you.
We live in the home of the free...because of the brave.
century after century ? how old ARE you?
“May God give you...For every storm a rainbow, for every tear a smile, for every care a promise and a blessing in each trial. For every problem life sends, a faithful friend to share, for every sigh a sweet song and an answer for each prayer.”
I laughed out loud last month when I read this card on the rack. I had to buy it for a friend's birthday. Luckily, she thought it was funny too. Paybacks though.....hmm..
LOL! That is the kind of card my son always sends me for my birthday.
I don't mind coming to work. But that 8 hr. wait to go home is a drag.
Ahem! I hope you are searching for the perfect card for him!
Does this hat make my butt look big?
Bet you will find a good one to send him- hope you had a happy day.
So much fabric-so little time
• • • As soon as I saw that phrase, I knew where this was going.
Happy Birthday Sandie !!
Would this sweet adorable brother happen to be older?
You'll definitely be able to return the favor when it's his turn.
... LOL ... my brother is younger, but you'd never know it ... hahaha, can't wait to do him the same favor - my birthday is Wed., his is 4th November .. I have time.
Lori - I used to tell my troops I was older than dirt .. now I'm starting to believe it, got up creaking this morning.
Methinks your brother loves you bunches!!! What a sweet card and I'm so glad you'll get your turn soon.
Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.
That's funny! Remember the series Wagon Train? Well, I knew my Dad got here on a ship from Italy, but after watching a Wagon Train show where they stopped in Kentucky, I asked my mom if she ever rode in a covered wagon.
Ohhhh, McPatches, that is terrible. lollllll
Sandie, I see humor runs through your family.
LOL Payback is going to be fun!
lol that sounds exactly like what a brother would send. lol cute sounds like a fun guy
Sweet. My grandniece asked DH today if he was 75? You had to be there. The look on his face was priceless since he is only 64.
I can tell you have a wonderful fun loving brother. They are great to have. Mine steals my c h r I s t m a s trees if I don't keep it locked up each year. Never have found a way to get him back.
Nice to have a brother who cares! Happy Birthday!
BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Remember, a good belly laugh wears off 6 calories!
"It's bad to supress laughter. It goes back down and spreads to your hips."
Very funny. Enjoy your brothers fun. This summer I lost my younger brother who always teased me about being older. Enjoy the fun and teasing. But be sure to get him back. And have a H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y !!!!!!This message has been edited. Last edited by: Meme quilts,
In order to see the rainbow, first you must endure the rain.
... aaah MeME .. I'm so sorry ... it was so dreadful losing my daughter, I just cannot imagine losing my brother. I can sense your heartache. I wish I could comfort you, hugs are always so nice, <<<
I come from a big family of 'Wing Nuts' but I think he and I are the last of the lot .. gotta get 'im ... can't let him have the last word
************** I think this card is especially special as he just lost his wife of nearly 30 years just 1 year ago - she always did the cards and gifts .. he didn't forget. This message has been edited. Last edited by: City/Sandie,
