I finally made a mini without star blocks. This scrappy jewel box uses ten of the fabrics from Jinny Beyer's Rajasthan Spray collection. The outer border is quarter inch piano keys of the same fabrics. The quilting is done with variegated metallic thread.

Bozie, that mini is adorable. I like how you have moved into working in bolder bright colors. All your minis have been gorgeous and I've saved lots of your photos for inspiration...but these brightly colored ones are just so cheerful and fun looking.
I haven'tbeen sewing that much. Have one side of the binding on the baby quilt to finish then on to the next project which is QWL quilts. I have a lot of blocks already and waiting for that.
I have been making more stockings, practicing. I think I want to add names on a "tag" like a gift tag that hangs on a gift, rather than the cuff. Still experimenting with family stockings.
I am going to be working A LOT the next few weeks and won't be able to sew much. So much I want to sew but not enough time.
I finished 4 UFOs this past week. I'll start with my favorite Super Bright Strings. We have had such dreary grey weather and I can tell you this was a joy to quilt and bind because I couldn't look away from all of the fun fabrics! I used royal blue fleece as one step batting & backing.
I hand sewed the binding on this table runner and left it with my MIL as a hostess gift on Friday. The pattern is "Little Charmers II" by Anka's Treasures and I used a charm pack of Dominique by Moda to make it. I did the piecing 3 years ago.
The fleece makes the quilt super cozy, and since I do my strings on muslin the tops are on the heavy side to begin with. I use spray basting to help manage the stretch of the fleece. I love how it turns out!
Love everything posted! I made these stockings using the method Lisa-TX posted on Feb. 14, 2012. She posted a link to a YouTube video her guild made which really helped me visualize the project. (In other words, wrap my tiny little mind around how to make a lined stocking!!!) Be sure to read her description later in the post as she has some good ideas. I used a 1/2" seam as in the video and Lisa was right - 1/4" is the way to go. The 1/2" was too bulky for the size stockings I made and I had to trim the seams. I also left my opening in the side of the lining piece. The stocking pattern I made, had a dip between the heel and the toe so the side was a straighter shot. My cuff is wider than suggested. I embroidered the names on a larger piece of fabric, then cut the cuff as I have an older emb. machine and still can't figure out how to center stuff! This is a great method and I plan to make more! Great project everyone! I haven't been on the board for a few weeks and this tread is just the kick in the butt to get going again.
The tree is up, turkey is gone, and I go back to work tomorrow. Ugh...
But tomorrow night I am going to make a dent in that sewing list. 1)finish Nov BOM, 2)cut and sew my 2013 RowRobin, 3)get going on a QOV and 4)find that baby quilt that needs quilting lines drawn

lady bug guilt donated for same book scholarship auction where I work. This one has crinkly look because I washed it to make sure red did not run. Karen

I've been on a sewing rampage -- made 21 jewelry pouches this month. I needed 8 or 9 to take to Florida in January where I'm meeting up with friends from high school. We decided at our 50th reunion this summer that we didn't have enough time to talk, so we're taking 4 days to catch up and catch some sun.
A quilt shop on Cape Cod was going out of business this summer and their fabric was $3.00 a yard, so I was able to get some beautiful fabric for 17 of them, and I had leftovers from stash to make 4 more.

Always love seeing the projects being done. Some very bright eye-catching items this week.
Trying to get back to quilting. Belong to a group that receives donations of fabrics and sometimes started items that the quilter has decided they didn't want to finish. Here's a before and after of what looks like someone was trying braiding and didn't like the sunflower border. I took it apart (not the braided strips!) and built a quilt out of it.
Boy all the projects done this week and I haven't done hardly any sewing and nothing finished. Loving all the things that are shown, Thanks for sharing and inspiring us. Pat

I'm working on Secret Santa for another group. I made a cover for a composition book with graph paper instead of ruled lines. The photo shows the front and the back. Now for her next gift. Plan to use the leftovers from this project. It's also using up scraps. Yeah!
