I don't know of any books, but they're super easy. Just cut the shirts into squares and sew together. I use the shirt backs as the back of the quilt so both sides are soft. I tie them instead of 'quilting'. I find them a lot more forgiving than a regular quilt because of the stretchiness, you don't have to be as particular with seams matching Wink

If you google Tshirt quilts, there are many sites with tutorials and ideas for different layouts. I'd help you out more but I'm at work, and I can't get to that part of the "web". They're fun to make...have fun!

I like Lauren Kingsland book, The Extraordinary T-shirt Quilt - A Scrapbook You Can Sleep Under. Here is a link to her website gallery. You can see more about her book here, too.

Amazon has the book for sale. You can read a couple of reviews.

I used iron on light weight interfacing to give them body. Otherwise there is too much stretching.

Please use a lightweight to medium interfacing. They look so much nicer and easier to handle when you do and it minimizes stretching. Using a walking foot is pretty handy too. When pressing, use a pressing cloth because some of the inks do melt. If you get fusible or ink on your iron, get a dryer sheet and slide your hot iron over it until it's gone. I machine quilt my t-shirt quilts. I have some posted on facebook...my page is called "Quilts & Embroidery". There are at least 5 t-shirt quilts on there.

Sew many Quilts sew little time!
I Love to see the smiles that our quilts give every time we give one away. When we give a quilt to another it's also our love inside each one.
