OMG! I got to see Nicki's Heart Blocks in person today, they are gorgeous! I really really wanted to snatch that beautiful purple heart! I hope to start trying to dress my hearts up this weekend, what a challenge this is going to be for me.

Still working on mine, but as I'm doing them I'm wondering what to do with the ones I get back. What do the rest of you plan on doing with yours? Didn't work on them today because I got the patterns for the wonder wallet in the mail this morning so ended up making two of those this afternoon. Was fun and they turned out really nice.

Hey girls - how about sharing some pictures of your pretty hearts????? uh? UH? I wanna see. I hope you've been having fun putting them together - They are just too cute.

Mrs. C - thank you Big Grin Oh how I wished I had grabbed a piece of that baklava for the ride home....... I did eat the fish taco though Wink

GOaskmom - as for what I plan on doing with my hearts..... I am going to cut out 9" blocks of velvet and applique each heart on them and then combine them all for a wall hanging. I will be making 2 - one with the blocks I swap and the other one with the 24 I'm making to keep. I made a promise to myself on January 1st that I would create something to submit to my favorite magazine by the end of the year - QUilting Arts... sure hope I can keep the promise.

Oh.... and speaking of wonder wallet - you would not believe what I got in the mail today? Big Grin Big Grin As a surprise Quiltnanny sent me the prettiest blue wonder wallet - thank you! thank you! I love it! The one I received as a SS gift last year is used on a daily basis and now I'm soooo exicted I have two. One for me $ and one for all my quilt punch cards. If you are in the SS swap I know your LSS would love one Big Grin

I am seriously thinking of making a needle case with a couple hearts. I have accumulated quite a few different needles as the lesson challenge has progressed and they keep falling out of the cardboard and plastic case they came in.

Here's a sneak peek at my hearts.

Are you ready for a couple more pictures? Some of these are finished and some not!! Wish they would talk to me a little more. I spend way to much time trying to figure out what to put on them and it's more fun doing than just thinking about it!!

Mcpatches and Goaskmom, I love your blocks. Those angels are just great.

Here is block 2 I pinked both my blocks a little bigger than the required size, the basting stitch is the right size, so it looks a little wonky.

I am so loving all the hearts featured. Thanks for sharing y'all.

mttlr just out of curiosity after visiting your blog; has the "Loved Squared" doll gone up for auction yet? I sure would like to know when it will be featured on ebay for auction. That is really AWESOME.

Mcpatches, my mom crocheted the top one, which has two layers, and I added the beads.
The bottom one is the crocheted button from CQMag, thanks to my mom. I don't crochet, but I did try the button. I need to practice more it's not very even. Eek Big Grin

Tx, they are holding a raffle instead. A vote from all who contributed thought that would be better than on ebay.

All of the hearts are so pretty! Here is my first one, I think I need a new camera. I tried taking a picture of this heart 4 times and I can't get it to show up right. I'm using a Kodak Easy Share, what cameras do you all use to get such nice pictures of your hearts?

I am actually making a crazy quilt for my Victorian sitting room so some of the hearts I receive will definitely find a home there. That needlecase posted somewhere using this size heart is also a possibility. The rest will end up in a wall hanging.
I love all the hearts you ladies have posted. Just magnificent work.

When in doubt, do the friendliest thing.
