DH has been retired for 1 week and he is still floating on cloud 9 and isn't bored at all. He does like saying things like: I will never have another day off. LOL All my days are off. Congrats and have fun planning.
After working most of the last 45 years I retired in June and I love it. I did take off enough time to have 2 dauughters. Now I also have 2 grandkids and have plenty of time to spoil them. Just, wish they lived closer to me.

Owie, buy all the fabric that you can now. Then when it is hot you can "camp and sew" in the air conditioning, if it is raining you won't get wet running for fabric, if it is cold and snowy you can stay inside and keep warm.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!! Patsy, I'm joining ya dediced on Tuesday after reading one more nasty email from admin, decided the difference in waiting until May just wasn't worth it.
Unfortunately I had to go back to work. If one more thing broke or went wrong I was gonna scream. So guess I'm stuck for a few more years. My nursing retirement stinks-won't even pay the house note. How sad is that?? Hope your's is much better!!
When I retire again-I'm gonna collect my SSN too!!
NICU, that's not good Mine is ok, but with the problems of the past year+ boooo, I've got apps in a couple places, not in any hurry..one is dispatch at UC which is something I enjoyed doing, but away from the admin we have now grrrr..if not for them, I would have stayed another year.
As long as I have a payment of any sort (vehicle right now) and DH is content to sit at home and do nothing - Oh! And all my friends are still working so we can't just jump up and go any time we want...I plan on working until they run me off!!
I came in from work one day and asked DH what had he done that day... He said, "Nothing." I said, "But that's what you did yesterday." He said, "I wasn't finished."
i'm excited. gonna get to see Matt my oldest grandson play varsity baseball and my 2 younger ones too. that's what i'm looking forward too.
i've worked hard these last few years. paid my house off, all my credits cards too. getting all my ducks in a row. when i retire i may be poor but i won't be homeless LOL.
24yrs is enough and i've worked 47yrs of my life now it's my time not the time clock LOL.
