Get off the fence, it really isn't as scary as it might seem Smile
Come join us in the scraps to treasure challenge - it really is fun and jayardi has come up with a great incentive:
Here's the deal:

If you register Tuesday then you get 1 pair of BONUS SQUARES.

And, because we are always looking for new blood, ALL NEWBIES will get DOUBLE!

Just remember to tell her Gonesewin talked you into it Big Grin

Thought about this for awhile then decided I did have to get off the fence. My decision was on the wrong side as far as your concerned. I just have too many UFO's and Stacks of stuff that has been marinating for way too long. One day I will have to do some scrap quilts, unless I give my scraps to charity. I may have to give my scraps away cause I won't live long enough to do all my projects and scrap quilts too....I plan on living until I am 120.

I thought about joining this again but decided the rules were much too complicated. I could never keep up with that many details. Looking forward to the final projects though.

● ● ● Oh, I see how it is. Wink Way to go Lori!

Evelyn, I'm really sorry you feel the rules are too complicated. I've tried to keep them simple. I know some have a difficult time understanding all the ways you can earn BONUS SQUARES, but really it is simple.

Choose two fabrics.
Cut into 6" squares. One set for each challenger
Pair the squares (one of each fabric back to back), then send to me.

I will send back all your squares.
Then you make a quilt which is a minimum 36x48"
You must use all the squares I mail to you in your quilt.
....One exception: if there is one square you really don't like or doesn't fit, you can exchange it with one of your own.

Also, you do not have to use the WHOLE square. You do have to use at least a 2" square of each minus the exception above.

And the last rule is, all the squares I send to you must be cut at least once.

I will send a complete spread sheet letting you know how much extras you can add.

Sure hope you will reconsider, because the last quilt you made was very nice.

Evelyn...the rules aren't as difficult as they look. I'm a little dyslexic and was like a deer in headlights when I saw them. somehow I made it through them last time! Just think scrappy and use part of everything.

It's lots of fun to come up with a pattern (and the same of the quilt!). Glad I named it BEFORE I came up with a plan, lol! Smile

Evelyn, please join. Its really not that complicated. I know you would be glad you joined in... Its a lot of fun and we have plenty of time and we enjoy helping each other. Please reconsider.

Rondi

And not just Evelyn! Please take time to consider joining this challenge. Just think, if we make 50, maybe someone will sweeten to pot even more!

Yes, all of you fence sitters, come on down on the side of the challenge Smile.

Evelyn, you will do great! It seems like a lot to take in, but it is really not difficult. Use what you receive and whatever you want to use out of your bonus allotment. If you need more than a 6" square of any one fabric, you could select that fabric as one of your FQ add ins.

Let's bring up the numbers!
