I made the quilt. It was a pattern called Carmel Latte available from http://www.4and6designs.com
They have a whole line of patterns based on strings or Strata's as they call them.

Although you wouldn't need a pattern if you are used to making string quilts. It was very easy to make with 4 colorways that washed to the center.

I've had that pattern - and the fabrics to make it - set aside for over a year now. I have GOT to get to it. It is so pretty.

Karen, that is a great string quilt. If you hang around these boards you will find that a number of the participants have fallen in love with string quilts and have done many swaps and quilts.

    Hope you will stick around.

Bonnie - more like a Coose Your Own Color string swap. Center string choice as well. The one that is finishing up now has B & W's, 30's, purples, fall colors, southwest colors, etc. all with specified colors and/or width for the center string. As an added bonus - we mail directly to the recipient on an ongoing basis and have a ball at the mailbox for weeks!!

Bonnie I am laughing... how funny we can be! Just to update you on the CYOC.. it's Choose Your Own Color.. the center is also your choice of color and width, each player makes 2 blocks of the other players choice in colors - and centers - and mails them directly to that person. We have had a lot of fun, seen a lot of wonderful combinations and a real + is that the knowing who it's going to helps one make really nice blocks. I did not start this swOp.. I picked it up when the previous hostess has something happen and left us. So when everyone wanted to do another - I agreed to be the record-keeper Smile It is a lot of fun, mailing is MUCH less expensive than big packs, and what fun to have months of little squishie envelopes in the mail box! Wew ill do it again - think about it next time!

Royal just saw that you had answered too.
