I am going Wednesday.

I posted a few photos on FB if anyone wants to see. I took 280 pics! But only posted a few.

Had phone issues...couldn't make a call or send a text but could receive them [att is gonna hear about it, too]...don't really know why but when I tried I'd get a message that said "for emergency calls only"...didn't hear from anyone....wish I had!


The show was A~W~E~S~O~M~E and I had a blast!!!! The hotel was G~O~G~E~O~U~S and the biggest 1 I've ever been in...looked like being on the Titanic & at Tara [from Gone w/ the Wind] all rolled into 1!! I/we got lost so many times...lol!! Skyways connecting to different buildings/garages! It was a FUN wkend and can't wait to go again next yr!!!

I am glad you had fun. I thought the DeVos center was beautiful, so much sunlight and nice area. We also had fun at this show. It will be there next year and I would love to meet people there.

Shogun, the AQS show book says in their photography policy that you can not post pictures anywhere on the internet without permission. You might want to remove them so the photo police do not contact you

Sewlove 2quilt....I had the same problems..No cell and No computer,nothing worked until I left the hotel.I didn't get lost tho' and now wonder how,LOL.It was fun,I didn't get to stay as long as I had planned but liked all I saw except.I did not enjoy the Egyptian,Art quilts or Japanese displays, great workmanship and talent just not my thing. It seemed real heavy with applique quilts also.I saw a lot of great quilts and new old products.The dates next year 2013 are August 14th through the 17th so mark your calendars.

I loved the Japanese quilts of course
The Egyptian one was interesting, the horse and the birds were cool, the rest all seemed the same.
There seem to be a lot more with the sparkly thread and jewels.
