White with Silver Fabric? Sign In/Join

Hi ladies, I've been searching a few of my favorite websites looking to buy white fabric with silver dots, swirls or stars...I have a couple FQ's left from a project a few years ago, and now want to use similar fabrics in my snowmen blocks for the "Merry Merry Snowmen" sew along...but I can I find any Noooooooooo...I chose to do my snowmen blocks in white, blue and silver because Caleb loves snowmen, and his room is decorated in a Kentucky Wildcat theme...so I thought this way I could keep with the same color scheme at least...if any of you ladies have seen white with silver fabrics in shops lately...please give me a shout and steer me in the right direction.

Thanks

Try JoAnns- I think I saw some new white fabric with tiny silver dots last week. I won't be near there again for a few weeks, but let me know if you need me to check.

I rummaged through JoAnn's about two weeks ago looking for similar fabrics and didn't find anything. I have to go that way in the next couple of days, for the same reason as your search, I'll look again.

How would you feel about a bit of blue in the white?

http://www.fabric.com/ProductD...63-a63f-2f2ae3ee828f

Fabric depot calls this 'ebony'. I'm gonna assume that means grey in this case. Would that work with your color scheme?

There are some whites at the bottom of the page.

White on white????

This probably more than you want.

You've probably been to most of these places but I thought I'd try.

Thanks ladies, gonna go check out the fat quarter shop...

I have enough blue with either white or silver(snowflakes...etc) just wanted a bit more white with silver to use on the lighter parts.

Y'all are the BEST!

Trish, I think the Michael Miller Fairy Frost might work for this project. Check this one out.

Would love to see a picture of Caleb's room. My sister's neighbor (in KY) has her bedroom done in all Kentucky Wildcat things, even the drapes, lol!

Thanks for that idea Devonne, might have to check into the fairy frost, there is a shop about 30minutes away 2 actually that might have it in stock Smile...funny about Caleb's room, I wanted to do his room in Kentucky Wildcats when I changed it from a baby to a Toddler, but his sister wanted to do a Winnie the Pooh mural on his wall...he never really got into that so she painted over it with Curious George, turned out cute...last year he told me Curious George was for babies and he wanted to change it...not wanting to paint over it...I swapped his bedroom for my sewing room, his bedroom is cute...still needs a few touches (momma is making a quilt) but he brought home lots of Wildcat stuff, and a few things got left at his auntie Di's that wouldn't fit in the suitcase. the best part is, he choose it all by himself...trying to convince him white is the best color for his room...he still wants to paint it blue...lol...will post a pic when it is all completley finished.

Carolyn I love that fabric, but Joann's will not ship to Australia...I have enough I think of a similar fabric to make my snowmen out of, they'll look like Frosty...lol

Trish, if you find a Joann's fabric you have to have, let me know. I ship to Australia and have a few Joann's near by. I remember seeing the white with silver running through it that you like, too. Just let me know!

K_Sunshine,
I have about 2/3 yd of First Frost in white with silver by Karen Montgomery from Timeless Treasures. I can't find a photo of it online because it's probably an older fabric. I bought it to use with a blue & silver fabric that I used to make a friend a tree skirt. I'll be glad to mail it to you. The swirls are about 1/2 inch wide.

Evelyn, that would be wonderful if you don't mind...so very sweet of you to offer. I scrounged around in my sewing room cleaning today and found one more FQ crammed in a bag I was using for another project, so I robbed Peter to pay Paul...lol...sending you a PM

Thank you so much ladies!

My little man is going to be so excited!!!

Paus, with the few fat quarters I scrounged and what Evelyn sent I should have just enough for Caleb's quilt. I also found a piece of fairy frost that would work in a pinch.

Thank you ladies so much, I can always come here for help...sometimes I get switched on to new online shops...Razz still debating whether that is a good or bad thing..lol

Life is strange. I can go months here in Texas and never hear or read about the Kentucky Wildcats. Check about halfway down the page to see a KW quilt.

It's just too bad that Kentucky didn't make it into the NCAA tournament this year. They are always one of my favorites. Ah, well, I guess no team can always be in that tourney.
