KeepYouInStitchesBrother SE400
Does anyone have one of these? DN notified me that a machine was on her Christmas list and she was telling possible gifters to contact me.
I found this:

Meme quiltsI don't have that one. The one I have is a PE750D. Mine only does embroidery, not regular sewing. The mother of 2 of my grandkids, has one similar to the one you listed. I'll look tonight to see what model it is. It is pretty easy to use and does a nice job. Because it is smaller, it is a little slower and has a smaller hoop than mine. I'll look tonight and let you know what model hers is.

KeepYouInStitchesI have a Brother PC6500...higher priced at the time than this machine. But the specs are very similar. She wants a machine to sew and do monogramming. For the price, I think this is it.
A friend of hers has two embroidery only machines for sale...both considerably higher than this. Then she would have to purchase a sewing machine.
Thanks for checking for me.
(Do you have those knit squares sewn together yet?

Deb51My daughter has a PE400D which is a sewing/embroidery combo. She has had it several years with no problems. The embroidery hoop is 4 x 4. She does very little embroidery, mostly monogram, so it is all she needs.

Meme quiltsThe one that belongs to my DGK's mother is a SE270D. The 400 will probably be a lot better than her 270. The 270 is ok for a beginner but I would get as high a number as you can afford.

KeepYouInStitchesTY Deb51.
Niece sent the Amazon link to her DH - on Facebook. He replied that he had dust and spider webs in his wallet. She countered with a statement about the credit card. LOL
I don't know why she doesn't order it herself and tell him that he's already purchased her Christmas present! AND when it's delivered, she can take it out of the box and start using it.

She could learn a thing or two from me.

I can see a few sewing lessons in the near future. Her DM does not own a machine.
