I have some photos entered in a calendar contest. Mine are numbers 56, 57, and 58. However, you can vote for more because there are 12 months!

I voted for 9 myself.

L*O*V*E the old rusted out tractor!

Ok, no offense to anyone that submitted photos, but why would you submit "family" type photos/portraits for a credit union calendar? One would think they'd be looking for photos that represent the area.

I voted for some (yours were very nice), even though I've never been to your state (except fo a layover in the D/FW airport in 1976!

I had already looked at the pics before you mentioned your numbers, but you're included in the ones I voted for! I too prefer the scenery shots. Really liked the tractor, even though it looked like it may have been hit with paint balls.

elsie, I read the Kindle book you recommended...it definitely had some laugh out loud moments and a bunch of head shaking with wonder at the idiocy of the main character!!

I loved the Gulf/ocean photos, but we are 6 1/2 hours away from the beach...definitely not located in northeast Texas. Wink I lived on the Gulf coast for 7 years - which was 6 years and 11 months too long!

Will need to do this at work as I can't figure out how to mark more than one on this Mac computer. The "control" won't do it.

Great photos Sherry. The one of the Alamo is great too. And the baby #51. Have 8 picked out... Chris

My understanding is that the 12 winning photos will be on the 2013 calendar. I'm hoping for at least one of the months!

I'm not photographic artist, so it takes 100 shots to get 1 good one. Sometimes after I transfer the photos from my camera to my computer I then see the best shot. The tree stump/wood fence in the snow...went back that evening for that one after looking at the dozen or so I took that morning. Had an "Ah-ha!" moment when I saw the shot I should've taken. Wink It's hit or miss with me, but I think at least one of mine is good enough for the calendar. Hopefully.

And the rays in the setting sun. LOVE that one!

Most the monthly flyers I get from our credit union to pass onto the employees, have people on them.

Think it is because a credit union is made up of "members" instead of institutions, that they feature people... chris

Loved the winter fence and the pink sky. I think the pink sky one could be anywhere in Texas and will remind people of home. I did vote for the father and little girl I thought it would make a good JUNE picture. I did not vote on the tractor because I thought it was more a painting the a photo.

edit- Good luck Sherry. I voted for yours first, all of them! they were good.

After a closer look, I think the old tractor was "doctored" up with a photo editing program.

Yes elsie, Coffeyville cemetery. SIL lives not too far south of there.
