I went to JoAnn's a several weeks ago and found the cutest fabric. I bought 2 yds, but now I don't have a clue what I want to do with it. It's a Robert Kaufman fabric called Whiskers and Tails. What do you think?

Or use one repeat as a panel and use it as the center of a quilt. Cat fabric would make nice borders.

Center of a quilt with blocks as borders...or big blocks from 9 Patch Pizazz...love that book! So helpful with ideas for big prints we don't want to cut into!

Check out Maple Island quilts. She has several patterns that feature large squares of fabric.

I like the BQ patterns, (1, 2 & 3)

A tote bag using big pieces would be nice as you could enjoy it as you shop for more fabric!

I bought that too - a month ago we were building a cat house - LOL - and the top was to have a pillow. I bought 3 fabrics to consider & ended up not using this one. It's really cute!

That's precious! I love several of the new cat and dog fabrics at JoAnns. I do think it's fun to use this fabric cut into 6" squares and make them snowballs. Add 9-patch blocks as alternate blocks. Using the cat fabric but seeing various parts of it around the quilt will make it more interesting and make everyone look at every block. An expert quilter told me once that you need to make quilts that move the eyes around it. Too many quilts are boringly repetitive. This would be fun especially if you make sure no blocks are alike.

There was a book that came out several years ago titled "Just Can't Cut It" by Pamela Mostek. (can be found at Amazon here http://www.amazon.com/Just-Can...=just+can%27t+cut+it ) (is that just not the longest link??) She has lots of good solutions for using fabrics that are "too pretty" to cut up.

Love the fabric. I like the idea of a repeat in the center, and there is some great paw print fabric that would make a great border. I know I would use it as a oven dress top.
