On Monday my dryer quite so DH and I went shopping for a new dryer. We found one that I liked at HD went to buy it only to be told that they did not have it in the store and I would have to waite until about the 23rd to get it. I said to forget it and went to Lowes they had the same model only priced 250. higher than HD when I told the sales man that HD had the same model only at a lower price, He said that it was a differnt model. My DH looked at the model number and said that it was the same. The sales man also said that it was a special order model. So once again I said forget it and turned around and we walked out of the store. Well we got to the front door when the sales man called us back and said that he did some checking and the price on the machine was discounted and also that they had one of the model in it's box in the back. So we took it at the same price that HD had it for plus we took it home that day. Tuesday my DH finished taking down my old quilting frame so Sat. we can put up the new one. On Wednesday I started cleaning the carpet in my "women cave" Didn't get it finished until Friday. On Thursday I had a fun day with CBQ at a quilting and crafts show. Than on friday I finished the carpet in my Woman cave and started to press the rest of the fabric that I got in Branson only to have my iron quite on me. So now I have to get a new iron. But today I get my new Long arm Pfaff power quilter p3 it is a 18 incher. I did get some sewing done this week. And I also put some mileage on my new credit card. You know needles, bobbins, and a leader for my LA plus some odds and ends at the quilt show. Next week will be buzy buzy for me. The week after Thanksgiving I will have the family Chris mas dinner. Now I hope that you all have a great Thanksgiving day. Mary Ann

Does sound like a busy week, but some good things coming from it. I'd love to have a mid-arm machine but I have no place to put a frame for it.

You've certainly had your hands full Smile good job on the dryer purchase. I'm afraid mine is trying to die...just kind of sickly right now.

Take some pictures of your woman cave please Smile I'd love to see it.

Very full week indeed Handie Smile Have fun with your dinner party Smile

On Thursday night i was flipping channels (a rare event) and saw an amazing iron on QVC, supposedly steams garments and can iron 8 layers of fabrics at once, perfectly!

Definitely a busy week!

A roller on the top basket in my dishwasher broke. DH made what I consider a silly statement. If you can't find another roller, we'll just buy a new DWer. Huh?! I went to GE, typed in the model number. A set of four rollers for the top basket with shipping is $25. Too high for the stupid things but a whole lot less than a new DWer. This one isn't even 10 years old...

And yes, I have my own tool box and can replace them myself. Big Grin

Sherry, we check on the cost to repair the dryer and thought that getting a new one was the better option for us.
Spent 3 hours putting the new frame to gether. Started to attach the Auto quilter to the carriage only to find out that I need to get a new belt and a washer the belt got broken when we brought it into the house and the washer is lost somewhere on the floor of the woman cave. We will finish setting it up tomorrow.
