This is in response to a question by PattyJ -

The race is 3 November, thanks for asking! You can see more info and/or donate @ www.leoruntoremember.org

It's a charity race to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, Mississippi LIONS Sight Foundation & two other local charities. There are no paid staffers, it's being organized and worked by my DH, the LEO club (a bunch of kids), & volunteers. I'll be running the 1/2 marathon, which is 13.1 miles.

Tory, good Luck, I know you will finish. That would be a very cool race in Wis., but it will be warmer by you, right?? Sounds like a great charity. Pat

We never know about November, it could be sunny in the 80s or it could be freezing rain in the 20s, just have to wait & see, lol. Most likely it'll be cool nights & warm days. Runnings easiest for me when it's a little cooler, around the 60s. I don't have any cold weather gear other than a hoodie & a pair of sweats so hopefully it won't be freezing!

I know we aren't at retreat anymore but is it ok to still encourage you to do your running???

I am absolutely guaranteed to do that, KYIS, 'cuz I've never run 13 miles before, lol.

So far I'm running about a 15 minute mile on the long runs, slightly faster than laying on the couch, lol.
