Greetings and salutations! Wave

If you havent already gathered your materials -- do that now!

You will need:
Your fabric sandwich -- two 7"x7" pieces of fabric fused to 1 piece of 7"x7" Peltex, Timtex, posterboard, etc... (but we'll start with making that for those who will be tuning in at a later date or haven't gotten theirs done yet...AHEM Trish )
An iron and board or mat
A rotary cutter, mat and ruler
Superglue, hot glue (& Gun) or white glue
8 paper clips
Ribbon, embroidery thread or ornament hanging hook
Large eyed needle
Scissors

As I said before, I am going to start with the fusing of the fabric. So. Here goes:

1. Preheat iron to whatever setting your fusible materials suggest

2. Cut (2) 7" x 7" squares of fabric -- they can be the same or different, whatever you like.
Cut (2) 7" x 7" squares of fusing material - wonder under, fusible Timtex, Peltex, etc...

Ok, step #7 Lay out three strips leaving a 1/16th - 1/8th gap between them. Place a drop of glue at the center of the center strip (measure if you need to).

9. Add a strip to either side of the horizontal strip, weaving them over and under the vertical strips. Secure each intersection with a bit of glue, lifting the strip to get it in the right place.
Be sure to keep the strips straight, even and close to one another! (UNLIKE the ones in the picture!) Place a ruler or a book or something over the woven unit to hold it while you repeat the process to make another woven unit.

Now, if you are using white glue you will have to let these set until tomorrow or you will have trouble with the rest of the steps. Super glue will take just a little while to set and with hot glue you can just bully on!

For those of you who are moving in with me, let's go on...10.Pick up one of the units and with your left hand turn the strip "C" to the right over itself. With the right hand turn the "D" strip over itself to the left and attach it with some glue to the top of the "C” strip. Use a paper clip to hold the strips in place as needed.

● ● ● Hello All! just poking my head in to see what you are doing. It's been a long day/week and I'm just about ready for bed.

I do want to suggest if you are using white glue you can speed up the process by ironing it. You could also cut small squares of fusible and iron them in place.

You all have fun tonight.
