Did you know that you can use a coupon on sales items? You can use either one - if you have a 40% off coupon and the items is 30% you can ask for the 40%. I never knew that. We have a brand new HL in town - no more driving to Daytona!

Love Hobby Lobby! One of my all-time favorite places. I'm fortunate to live halfway between 2 with more a little farther out.

My store won't let the coupon be used that way. I think it probably varies by the store you are at and how they interpret what the coupon means. Glad your store will give you that discount...that really helps you get a great deal!

We finily got a HL out here in Wa. My DH and I went to it. I don't think that we will be back. It was a 30 mile drive to it. the store was only open for about 6 months it was dirty, and smelled very bad. The prices were not any better than Joann's or Michales. And the fabric slection was very small. I have been into a HL where the store was clean and the fabric slection was about 3 times more than the one by me. This was the one in Springdale Ak.

Marion2: The stores in Edmond, Oklahoma City, and Lawton all let you use the coupon. If the item is less than 40% off, you can use the 40% off coupon based on the regular price. I use them all the time, especially on fabric. I love HL......some of the stores employees are really nice, but some of them aren't as friendly.....that's my only complaint. And I really like the fact that they will let you pull up the coupon on your cell phone instead of having to have an actual "paper" coupon to keep track of.....I hate to have to carry coupons (like Joann's makes you do).

But JoAnns lets me use HL, Michaels, or Hancocks coupons. All are within a mile of my house so I can shop and compare.

I haven't used them (don't have one of those new fangled phones, LOL) but people do use non-paper coupons at Jo-Ann. Here's a link to sign up to get Jo-Ann digital coupons sent to your mobile device.

my store did that for a long time, then stopped letting 40% be used on 30% items. Now they let them be used again. all they do is write it up for the full price and you get the 40% discount at the ck out.
I noticed Kohl's dept store saying Senior Discounts, every Wednesday now, can't be used with any other coupon. Grrrr

Evelyn - that is great! When I worked at JA's they did not allow it and I don't think they do now but I will check next time I'm in there. I think HL fabrics are priced higher but with a coupon it's a good deal. Our new store is gorgeous.

I was there on Saturday shopping and the fabric lady did that for me. I wish Joanns did that. I hate when I go to joanns with coupons and things are already on sale but for less than what I would pay if I could use the coupon.

Hancock Fabrics accepts competitor coupons from JoAnns and Hobby Lobby in store coupons. They do have to be paper coupons though...no digitial. Exclusions apply...they do not match ad prices.

Bozie (Martha): Thanks for reminding me of the JoAnn's App. I loaded it on my phone a long time ago and tried to use it at our local store but they told me that they could only take the paper coupons. That was quite a long time ago so I will try it again.....maybe they have now changed their policy and can now take the digital coupons. Thanks again for reminding me of the app. You are so sweet and helpful.
