Just an aside about the iron delemma ( I know that is spelled wrong, but for the life of me I can't figure what is wrong I'll check it out later in the dictionary) Sister Sue didn't use an iron very often and her original iron lasted about 25 years(or more LOL) but since she started quilting she has gone through at least 2 irons in the past 7 years. !!! I have finished 2 of my goals, but that coat closet is still a mess. I made 3 of my chain blocks, got the quilts done and mailed and I have the wonder under to make the fish. Can't wait to start them. Pat
I have used the fusible fleece but I like the heavyweight fusible interfacing the best for my purses.
Everyone is doing great this week. I still need to get the baby quilt quilted. It won't be until at least Thursday before I can get at it. Travel 4 hours to Pittsburgh for testing tomorrow morning. Please say a little pra*yer for safe travels. We are getting some snow but bitter temps. Thanks
I have achieved all my goals for this week. Patty J and I completed 2 quilts for QWL and were already sent to Maggie. I did all 12 chain blocks for the BOM 2013. Then I started and completed an Irish Quilt. It is not perfect, used decorative stitches and some showed I had too much drag on the quilt. I still love what I did and will hang it in my sewing room. I did my goal last week - 2 blks made a day and kept doing it this week (and realized last night what day it was!! : ) so now I am here to post this week plan!! - finish Bounce top (5 more blks to make, more border pieces need to be made then cut up to be sewn together again!! , then put all together with plain borders + make up the binding!!! have that ready!!!) - and if I get all that done, I want to cut up the fabrics for my guilds mystery so they will be ready for the next step!!
: So, what am I doing on the computer you ask??? Good question!!! gotta go!!!!
Well, I changed my goals for last week in mid-week. I decided that the sweater that I was working on was just too big, and since I love the colors, I didn't just want to finish to sell. So, I frogged it and started over using the instructions for the next size smaller. Hopefully, it will fit better. I did get most of my row robin finished and am currently getting it ready to be mailed tomorrow, and I made a little white hat to match the chr*stening outfit. After that, I will go back to my sweater and work on my pincushions (pretty sure I've chosen my design). Oh, and I've also decided to sign up for Quiltaholic's butterfly block swap, so I'll be pulling fabric for that. I'm also hopeful of getting more of my workroom cleaned up this week.
I know today is only Wednesday, but I also know I am not going to make my goals for this week. I started to work on the mugrug and found what I wanted to do just wouldn't work. So I have to start over. Soooo disappointed!

This is a great thread. I am still working on my Baltimore Halloween blocks. I am topstitching the 11th block, the large center block is pressed down, waiting for topstitching and the block that I didn't get has not arrived yet. I also have the 20 bats needed for the border cut out. I think that I have done pretty well since the the second of Jan. I have decided not to tackle another large UFO for a few months. I have plenty of little ones to do.
WhooHoo!!! I finished the elephant quilt so now I can choose a quilt to make from all the wonderful ones possible out there!!! I have overflowing shoeboxes of bricks and squares so maybe I should find a pattern that will use some of them up!
WEll, I didn't make my goals this week - stupid work But next week's schedule is lighter so I should be able to...

Sorry you had to work so much Gonesewin. It's nice seeing so many projects, blocks, etc. finished. This thread is the best for incentive to work on our goals! We did get into the basement... one of my goals, and that took longer than expected but there are 7 39gal. black trash bags ready for AmVets to pick up! It's hard to convince DH to sort out and eliminate things! He's a pack-rat! But it feels good to have that done. I did get one birthday block done for the exchange. Never did start those string blocks! Maybe this week!
Nice projects everyone, Sister Sue hand appliqued those Shamrocks on and she did a good job of it. Yaaayyyy, I got my goals for this week done. My coat closet hasn't looked this good in a very very long time. I got some real organizing done in there and the garbage is full. Pat
