Sarah, I would ask that question in General Gardening. Being a gardener, I can tell that most anything will work as long as you include some trailing type plants. Is your Tipsy Pot apparatus made from clay pots or plastic? If they are clay they will need to be watered quite often. Some suggestions are Million Bells, Wave petunias, along with Creeping Jenny. Ask for suggestions at your local nursery.
Gardening Rule: When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Elaine
Sarah I love the creeping jenny, wave petunias and million bells, but let me also suggest a plant called an ice plant. This is a favorite of mine that I recommend to all my customers. In my area it is a perennial. It has a trailing habit, it flowers and has a succulent type leaf. It can go in the full sun and can take dry conditions if the pots dry out quickly. I love plants that can take abuse. HEE HEE

Here are some more tipsy pots that i have seen. They are fun to make. I made one last year from clay pots, this year I want to try metal washtub , bucket, watering can. I saw one like that last year and it was beautiful.
L2J, I love your version of the tipsy. Very different. If you do the metal tubs, please post it. i am a sucker for enamel washtubs, or enamel anything!
