I found this on the curb and thought I might be able to find a creative use for it - after a good clean and a coat of paint! - but I'm curious as to what it's intended use was.
The top is flat inside the slanted rim and it's got notches evenly spaced along the back raised rim plus a raised bar across the flat top separating it into 1/3 and 2/3. Inside the two shelves are two rows of four poles/columns, one behind the other.
I have no idea what this was built to be! It looks kind of like a dictionary stand except that the top is flat, not slanted downwards, and there are those columns on the shelves! I'm stumped. Do you know?
