I have an antique reprodction dry sink we had made about 7 yrs ago. It is stained and urethaned a med. maple stain. New furniture in dining room is new: espresso coloured slightly contemporaty style table and black leather parsons chairs. Walls: bottom half is white panels (made from trim)and chocolate brown suede paint on top. I need to do something with the dry sink to match. I thought about black/brown stain/varnish overtop of existing but I can't find this product in the dark almost black colours. I obviously can't just stain overtop of the varnished finish as it won't penetrate the wood. It's solid wood so don't want to paint over - want to see the woodgrain. I also am not keen to have to scrap off all the varnish to be able to restain - suggestions?????
