Yesterday was a GORGEOUS day here in NJ. Went out yard saling and made a few good finds. A 100%, all cotton, queen-size, coverlet for $3! HEAVY, white, and NO stains. Looked up where it came from and cost over $100 NEW!?! On a total whim, bought a glass "cloche" for $2, 2 teeny chips on rim. Have NO idea what I'm gonna do with it... just interesting and different.

Know weather could change from wonderful to wicked in near future. I'm bracing fro going into "withdrawl"... will only have thrift store to hunt for treasures until maybe April after that!?!

We are blessed with lovely weather here too of late. I'm kind of surprised that garage/yard sales are going on so close to major holidays though. Perhaps it's another sign of the terrible economy. You sound like you scored some super deals. As far as the cloche, depending on it's size, create seasonal vignettes under them. I have one for Christmas featuring a pine sprig, a golden pine cone ornament, a bird's nest, two glittery winged birds and a glitter edged pointsettia. Other displays could include photos, jewelry, mini trees, figurines, fruit/nuts/candies/cookies, battery candles, etc..
