Several years ago, I needed a king head board, and I used a old wooden double headboard and foot. I cut out the center of the head board and attached the two ends to the sides of the old foot board. The center was four feet wide and each side was one foot. The head board came out to be about 3 feet high. It ended up with four posts, two on each end and two in the center about 4 feet apart. I painted it white. I don't have photos, I no longer have the bed, I lost in the 'custody' aggreement!Smile
