about HGTV's newest forum "Favorite Yard-Sale finds".

I'm surprised that more people have not participated in this forum and wonder why.

Is it because you are giving up all rights to your pics and allowing HGTV to use them in any way it wishes and you don't want to do that?

Or is it that you can't be bothered to post pics?

Or is it that you do not think your finds are all that great?

I really wonder what others think of this new forum. I see that Margo's and my threads are now locked because they are over 1000 views so there are people looking.

Would anyone care to voice their opinions or concerns?

I've been there a couple of times. I do the same thing here.. post my finds.. so it's sort of redundant .

I feel like NJTomboy, but my biggest problem is I can't post pictures right now. DH and I are working on that, and maybe soon I can actually 'show something' instead of doing a visual explanation.

I just started posting. I love the yard sale finds forum. Sadly, I keep forgetting to take pics of stuff before I paint or redo it. Then I just post it here. I will have to start posting pics of my best "junk" finds on the other forum.

I also thought it was sort of redundant, for myself at least. So far I posted my pics here and I also show my junk finds on my blog. And when I want to draw attention to something special there, I can also post it here.
I also didn't write about any new big furniture finds recently nor took pics of anything I didn't show here or on my blog already. I'll think about it next time.

I don't yard sale a lot, but finds of that nature I usually either post on my blog as part of a grouping of similar items to discuss, or I post them here because I'm all excited about them and I know you folks "get it" and appreciate a good find.

If I lost rights to my own yard sale story and pictures, then I couldn't even use them on my own blog. Which is just my hobby but would seem self-defeating.

Most yards are going to be full of snow soon so maybe that's why they removed it which reminds me...

In my old neck of the woods, the best yard find this time of year is Frosty the Snowman.
